Downloaded the 20 meg vid in 49 secs!
I love Australian servers...
OMG, its looking pretty good. 28 racers on track at once, all uses RT mapping etc, looks really good, though I hate F1...

I\'m aware of Grand Prix 4 yes, and it DOES look very much like it. But is it going to be a true simulation (like GP4), or is it going to be arcade like the pitiful F1200X series.
The one thing I hope for, is that the game is actually playable. Designers these days tend to put too much effort into the graphics, and as result, they don\'t get the physics of the car correct. F12001 is a joke, and for all I know, F12002 is the same. The Microprose GPX series created by Goeff Crammond are widely accepted by F1 fans, and according to certain sources, real racing drivers as being as close as possible to the characteristics of the cars in real life. The steering in the GPX series is smooth, not jerky as it is in F12001. There is also a lot to be improved upon when it comes to realistic car handling as well. In F12001, the cars in real life do NOT behave in that fashion. In REAL F1, as soon as a driver puts one wheel on the grass, more often than not, it\'s goodnight Vienna, and he is off for an early shower, there is no second chance. In the game, I found it quite easy to regain control in a spin. In real F1, once the car is set into a spin, in most cases, it will NOT stop spinning until the car comes to a halt.
I look forward to reading reviews on this game to see if it reaches all the criteria needed to be classed as a true "simulator", or whether it will end up as another run-of-the-mill arcade game falsely labelled as a sim.
If it passes the test, I\'ll buy it. If not, I won\'t, no matter how fantastic the graphics are.
