OMG Sabrina, you are so funny. Where are you from? I take it English isn\'t your first language?

Using common sense is all you need to keep it safe.

I keep mine pretty well looked after. I always clean it on a regular basis. When I\'m not planning on using it for any length of time, I always unplug it and cover it with a cloth to stop dust settling on it. I don\'t keep drink or food near it, and there is nothing near to obstruct the fan at the back.

As for the games, they are ALWAYS kept in the box, in a neat pile next to my PS2. I NEVER touch the surface of the discs, I handle them by putting my index finger through the hole on the centre, while holding the side with my thumb. I have old PS1 games that I have had for years that have barely a mark on them, I could trade them in for a decent ammount they are in such good condition.

I always keep the games in their boxes, also I make sure the vents on my ps2 are not too dusty.

I leave it plugged in but always take care of it, never smoke round it...and now have it horizontally as when I had it vertically it started playing up so I had to exchange it at dixons for a new one...I always clean the fan and air vents...
I take care of the games and never EVER leave a disk in the ps2 like some people do.
We all do it cause we payed a lot for our PS2s and
1)it\'s a delicate little machine
2)You want it in pristine condition so you know there won\'t be any faults
3)eventually when you sell it, should you decide to, then the value is up on ps2 with all the box and in a good condition

But I\'m really careful and I have dropped my pads a few times but is it just me or does anyone else think the official Sony PS2 pads are strong?

Anyway, glad to hear you take care of ya consoles...thats waht being a good owner of one is all about guys and girls

Yeah, I think they are quite durable, I drop mine from time to time, and they haven\'t caused me problems. Anyway, even if they do knacker up, they are only £20 or so for a new one, so it isn\'t the end of the world if they give up on you.

I have it on a shelf, leave my cds occasionaly on the ps2 and put them away a couple days later. I blow out the dust when I see it in the vents. Haven\'t had major problems except the lense was very dirty. Works fine now.
