Since I got connected to internet, I\'ve not buy many videogame magazines. Internet offers me pictures, reviews, and info for free and daily, so I think magazines now are not worth the money. I\'ve bought some of them because the demo disks...
do you still buy videogame magazines?
-
Same here. Since I gained access to the net, I haven\'t seen the need for games mags. To be honest, I only bought them on the rare occaision if/when they were reviewing a game I was interested. Since I connected though, I haven\'t bought one. You can get the same info now online without paying, as you get in magazines worth between £3.50 &£5.00.
Plus the net has the advantage of being considerably more up to date.
Nothing used to piss me off more than buying a mag with supposedly up to the minute news, only to find that it was immediately obsolete elsewhere.

I buy sometimes PSM2 and always OPS2M for their dvd and demos.
-
Meh, I got Nintendo Power for about 3 years from 5th to 8th grade, got 3 free players guides...worked for me :)
But yeah, I stopped a while. I\'ve thought about renewing it, but it\'s just not worth it. I\'ll just go by word of mouth and see what\'s out there.
See Yuz.

I still get EGM and GameNOW which my subscription to GameNOW is almost done...so I\'ll continue with EGM.
-
only the ops2 mag, mainly for the demos, maybe sometimes i might buy another
-
I get PSW and occasionally OPS2 mag.
-
I sometimes browse through EGM whenever I do grocery shopping... That\'s about it.
-

-

I subscribe to EGM and OPM.

EGM is the only decent magazine around now\'a\'days and their quality is questionable at times.
I use to be (and still am) a fan of the now defunct Gamefan. Now that was a magazine that was hip, stylish and had enough content to back it up every month.
R.I.P

The successors to Gamefan have all been great thus far. Gamer\'s Republic was a gem and now Play Magazine is awesome. I subscribe to that right now. Great layouts even though there are mistakes here and there. :)
-
I used to read GameFan too, but at the 5 bucks a pop, EGM seemed to be more worth my money..
-

I am do subscribe to magazines but not really ps2 games. I have PLAYBOY, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, and TRANSWORL SKATEBOARDING. My friend supplies me with the playboy.
BTW: I do pick up PSM magazine, just because I really like them, and the DEMO\'s are sometimes worth it. Although I do get the jampacks or whatever they are called.
-
ewwwwwww you get second hand porno mags
-
I used to buy heaps of mags in the past, but nowadays I only buy EDGE. Which I do religiously. Just got the newest issue, I\'ve got quite a collection, all issues beginning from number 49 (and some earlier ones too).
-
What\'s about that mag hawke?
-
Dunno, it just got me from the first I got a copy. It\'s pretty different from most gaming magazines, with a larger scope on things. They get some nice exclusive previews (ages before others, and even before any info can be found on the \'net), the reviews are well written, the articles and features are superb... and the layout is sexeh... etcetc... It\'s a much more deeper read than the shallow mainstream mags. And.. expensive, eep!
-
hmmmmm i might start buying edge now
