Title: The Ring
Post by: MPTheory on October 21, 2002, 08:46:00 AM: So, I saw this on Saturday night..... It had to have been the scariest movie I have ever seen. I\'m not going to spoil it, but. Its the kind of movie that affects you after the fact. You have to see it to understand what I mean. If you like scary movies, This is the one to go check out.

Post by: Samwise on October 21, 2002, 08:53:10 AM: Yup, I\'ve seen the original Japanese film and it was quite scary (I also own it on DVD). I wanna watch the remake as well though, since it seems some of the story has been changed a bit.

Post by: MPTheory on October 21, 2002, 09:50:44 AM: yeah, I dont know what they changed, but, I was suprised that it got rated PG 13. This could easily have been R rated. I hope no one brought their kids to this one. Unless they didnt want their kids to watch TV anymore. I guess that would be pretty effective. :)

True that... in fact a lot of gore often makes a movie less scary. And personally I like the horror movies that doesn\'t show everything but rather let your own imagination do the work. :)

I\'m up for a scary movie, so I will see The Ring this weekend hopefully.. I told my gf about it, she keeps on saying she wants to see Sweet Home Alabama before they stop showing it.... grrrr :hold:

On the way to the 7 days, weird things happen to you, and you see things that would probably make you go insane before you died anyway.

Heh, you can download it off the Internet. Also, the original Japanese \'video\' is scary too... even moreso if I remember correctly (but I might not :P).

Hell, I thought I remembered something about how/where to aquire the video alone (besides the Net) - but I can\'t seem to remember. Sorry. :(
