Can anyone give me a hint on what I need to do to get the tank from the military convoy?  I  have been trying several different ideas and all seem to fail!  Any help would be great.  Thanks.

Just follow along the side of the convoy until you hear a rather unusual command.

if you turn the turrent around and fire backwards it will acellerate the tank.

I didn\'t really go in with a strategy.  Just made sure I had full health and armor.  Drove up beside the convoy in any car, running over whoever it was on the side...got out, pressed triangle to enter tank, and drove to the pink marker, which was not far away at all.

I got it now.  I tried the running over people strategy and the door to the tank was still locked.  When the soldier went into the donut shop I ran in there and killed in and then camped down behind the counter and continued to shoot the vehicles and soldiers from inside the shop and then ran out and got in the tank when all where about dead.  Thanks for all the help everyone.

I just used a helicopter and landed on a nearby rooftop.  Sat up there with my sniper rifle and shot all the army guys down.  Flew my copter back down and took the tank to the spot.  Sounds like people completed this mission in their own way.... :)

This is what I did.
Drove up to the side of the convey, got out of the car, ran up, pulled the soldier out of the tank and drove off shooting everything in site. I busted in and left! Quite simple.

I tried to do that but the tank is locked.  Unless you were lucky and ran up to it while the guy was getting doughnuts.

all i did was drove to where the line of army was going parked in front of the head car and threw the guy out of the take and got there.

hahaha....to be honest i think i completed that mission the coolest way you can do it!

first i tried running over all the guards...but i died

i tried drive bys and killin all the guards but the army vehicles always ran over me...

so this is what i did, i got a bike PEG 600,
stoped a couple of yards away and sniped the dude inside the tank. took off and killed all the guards with one drive by, well not all of them i just swilred arond and capped all of them. then made the army vehicles chase me as far as a i could, jumped out the bike and got into the inferno i had parked there(all part of the plan) drove as fast as i could back to the tank, got on and the rest was easy, i shot everything that moved, and got like 5 stars rating FBI chasing me and everything, but after i parked it in the garage everything was cool again..

The easiest way to do it is to take a P-600 and park it right in front of the tank. When you park it in fron of the tank the guy in the passenger side of the tank gets out to move you and/or the bike. Thats when you jump in the tank and floor it. The explosions from you hitting the cars in front of you should clear out any soldiers that would try to pull you out. Then just drive to the lock-up.
