Title: How to edit a web?
Post by: Seed_Of_Evil on November 02, 2002, 07:38:49 AM
I\'m interesting in making some practices with webs, but i\'m not a freaky of these kinda programs. I\'ve thought in saving some web and edit it. For example, if I would want to make a videogame web, could I save IGN main page and edit it afterwards with my own design? Can I do that? What programme do I need?

Are you referring to editing a website?

In that case all you have to do is save the page and edit it with any text editor.  If you don\'t know HTML you\'re going to have to use a program like FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or Composer.  IMO it\'s much more powerful to edit it by hand (HTML).

Another tip, if you click on the view menu at the top of explorer and select source, you can see the HTML code for the web page you are looking at. You could cut and paste sections of this for your own editing purposes.
