Where exactly in the FAQ\'s can I find the relevant info, I\'ve looked but can\'t see anything about this.
Besides, if sony laser units are as sh*t across the board as they seem to be, this site may be handy for those not in warranty any more.

Duuuhhhh its common sence
anyway
Best place is to check you local yellow paper for independent games shops, most of them have repair workshops that are licensed by the 1st party people (Nintendo ,Sony, Microsoft) to conduct repairs.
Its better using them rather than a web based on because
- You deal with them on a 1 to 1 basis
- you don’t have to send you console through the post
- Most independent shops that do this offer their own extended guarantee
- Also it’s a lot cheaper than doing it 1st party.
oh and P.S.
if I was you I would edit your first post and remove that link ASAP

yes, we do not condone link to any sites that sell piracy components
EVEN if they sell retail non-piracy items as well
