Title: reasons why the trails look so bad
Post by: kopking on November 07, 2002, 12:45:36 PM: ok ive read lots of peep saying about this, and ive got the game today been playing it for last 9 hours. amazing..... got on second island, would of been there earlier, but was messing about doing sub missions.

well the reason the trails look so much more than in gta3 is to make the game look more 80s, i know it sounds weird, but if you watch music vids on mtv, with songs from the 80s, the vid qualty is very poor.. hope you get what im sayiing, this is the reason why they done it

kinda like sh2, having the grainy effect, though u could play it without it

look really bad. But a friend of mine with a newer Sony Vega
said he plays with trails, and doesn\'t mind it at all.

I think all the bright colors in the game (sun, neon signs, etc)
also add to the effect...

I really like the trails effect, the game looks much better IMO :)

with out them it looks as cold and rainy as Liberty City.

I love the TRails :D

Post by: Living-In-Clip on November 09, 2002, 06:23:01 AM: The trails suck. They remind me of when I drink a lot of nyquil and my eyes are gettin\' hefty. Everything sort of waters and trails . I hate that effect...thus I am forced to turn those crap trails off in the game.
