Title: Finally a X-Box game that is damn fun to play!

MechAssault on X-Box live is a riot. Its just the basic pick a mech and shoot-em up but what makes this game so fun is the boasting constantly going on.

The game itself is awesome, the particle effects and destruction is unmatched even the single player missions are a load of fun.

This makes Live worth the price of admission. Have not tried any other Live games yet but all the talking would make any of these games a blast to play.

I\'m liking it too.  The only complaint I have is that most of the mech duels come down to strafing matches.

There seems to be alot of people double teaming on destruction using the same X-Box. Devils! Still have not found my Mech yet.

I don\'t know.  It\'s alright I supposed, but it\'s nothing spectacular.  It\'s just a deathmatch with mechs much like Twisted Metal Black online is deathmatch with cars.  There\'s nothing tactical or amazing about it except maybe some of the graphical effects with the explosions and buildings that collapse and take real time damage, but they also encompass a great deal of slowdown as well.  I like the mech variety though, but I\'d honestly much rather have a Virtual On multiplayer game as opposed to this.  Flying and jumping should be a staple, not a quick manuever that doesn\'t even dodge too much fire.  I think the mech balance needs to be altered because in destruction matches, unless people triple team the massive mechs, they always come out on top.

True, it\'s fun, but there\'s lots to be desired.

Yeah it seems like they could\'ve put more options in since ABXY buttons basically just do the same thing as your triggers.

Mech balance is ok...  I have played a Puma and have taken down an Atlas... just kept running around in circles and blasting.  The one thing they should change is the invisibility for the small mechs.  It doesn\'t really work.  One fun option is have a team full of Elements and have one guy on one team be an Atlas.  Its pretty funny.

can\'t get broadband, can\'t get live. Won\'t buy a game for a 10 hours 1p experience. But how is the 1p experience. Is it worth a rent ???

Xbox is shooting for 100,000 Live subscriptions by next year.... Seems like awfully small potatoes. I hope the succeed in making broadband more available and affordable though

I like the single player experience. Its a blast to me just blowing up buildings and the other facilities. With X-box LIVE a great buy without still a good buy but a good rental if you never plan to take the mech you win on-line.

Fun game all around but not everyones cup of tea.

I have to agree with jiggs on this one. This game is alot of fun and the fact that u can talk to your friends make the experience very enjoyable.

EmperorRob it took me 2 days to beat the game. What are u having problems with? After u get done beating the game u get 2 awsome mechs, a ragnorok and ymir. These mechs have extra weapons, shields and u can use them online.

I think it\'s a unfun mess. First, using voice on Live against anyone you aren\'t friends with *sucks*. MA is as dumb a action game as you can get... nonstop running and shooting is boring if you have more then 10 brain cells. The framerate is aweful. The downloads will be crap from what\'s been revealed so far. And last but not least, Steel Battalion exists, there is no need to bother. A online Armored Core would be tons better anyways.
