Well I finally bought a new car. I went and drove a 325 the other day and while I loved the handling I wasn\'t hugely impressed with the power. So I searched some more. Well today I bought a 2002 330i. Oh my so much better. The larger engine really makes a difference.
These pics aren\'t my car, but kinda like it. I have a silver one with Xenon headlights, and upgraded 17" wheels and brakes. I\'ll try and take some pics next week. I don\'t have the digital camera with me.
Oh my it is so much fun to drive. But then again, I was driving an explorer.

Ohhhh very nice indeed
Congrats
-
The 330i is a nice choice. Is that the AWD one? Or is the AWD the 330Ci?
-
Ci is the coup... No, I don\'t have all wheel drive. DOn\'t really need that in FL.
-
It is quite helpful in these flash flood storms though :)
-
This car has so many freaking options it\'s ridiculous. I\'m going through the book tonight a little bit. Why do I need rain sensing windshield wipers? I alsways figured if the windshield got wet I turn them on. Oh well.
-
Congrats man, enjoy

Because it\'s a lazy man\'s dream not to have to do the simplest tasks such as turning on the windshield wipers.

I HATE those Xenon headlights.......they are waay to bright........Nice car tho..............I would have asked to have the "normal" headlights installed.......
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:

w000t! another fellow happy BMW owner on this forum...
bout damn time!
congrats on the buy
-
Many drivers agree nothing let\'s you get the feel of the road as much as a BMW. It\'s not just because you used to drive an Explorer Vid, ze Germans really know their stuff. :)
Nice car! Be sure to get a 5\' spoiler on it along with bright green racing stripes to make it faster.
-
congrats vid and nice choice btw. :)
and also excellent decision on changing the alloys (u did change them right?, i mean u did not only increase its size) coz the ones in thw pics look fugly IMO.
-
Nice motor.
-
Congrats Vid! You have become a man now. :p
Very nice car. :bounce:
-
Wow, very very nice. Congrats buddy :p
-
I\'m working on saving up for a 96 Mustang GT
-
No, those aren\'t my wheels. I have 17" alloy wheels. I\'ll take some pics next week.
TheGR81, check your PM. I have a question for you...
-
Totally sweet bro. Next time I\'m in Florida we can go pimpin.
-
Big pimpin bro.
I\'ll just have to take the baby seat out of the back. Kind of a turn-off.....
-
Vid, you are tha pee-yamp diddy!
BTW nice ride. Congrats, dude, you deserve it.
(as much as any booze-jwhahh rich cock does :D )

Naw leave the kid seat in, that way you can still pick up some midget hookers.
-
Just put the log in the trunk.
-
Hey Vid how much was the sticker on the car? I am curious as my lease is coming up soon and will be looking for a new car myself. I was thinking an Audi A4, but no local dealership, a VW Passat or a BMW.
As for the rain sensing wipers, my Jetta has them and they work about 80 percent of the time. Sort of a gimmick, but most of the time they work pretty well. They go really fast when you are going fast then slow down when you come to a stop light. Sorta cool...
-
The car priced as I have it used is 43 grand at the Kelly Blue Book site... It\'s an 02.... I bought mine for 35 though so there is some wheeling and dealing to do. The power difference between this 3.0 motor and the 2.5 motor is very different. Now if I can save my money, the moment this thing goes out of warrenty I\'ll have a supercharger!! Wooo!!!!

Nice buy.. All you need now is one of those high rise spoilers. :nerd:
-
Yeah, I\'m going to get me one of those big ones you see on Honda Accords....
Oh wait, I have a rear wheel drive car... I don\'t need it.
-
Here are a couple pics. The wheels are dirty though cause it\'s been raining like a mother the past couple days. Car is a mess. I want to buy a replacement for the front bumper to get rid of the license tag, but other than that it will probably stay this way for a while.

Vid is the body the same as the 325?
-
I think so. Not sure about the front grill. I think the lower part might be different. I have circuler fog lights and I\'ve seen others with wide ones. Not sure if that\'s a model year difference or perhaps a 325-330 difference.
-
Very nice car - basically my question was space wise. It looks pretty much the same size as the 325 for less money. Sure I won\'t get that extra half a liter, but I could deal with it as long I got the sport package with the bigger rims.
-
It\'s the same size as the 325, just a heck of a lot more nuts. I like nuts.
-
Heh you live in Tampa! My aunt and uncle live there! Back to the topic - yeah I like the extra 15 hp, but I am wondering what the difference is on insurance between the two.
-
I just called and mine will be 940 a year. But I am over 30, married, with no record.
Actually the rear wheel horsepower is quite a bit more than 15. I forget what it was, but I was looking on a perfromance website showing before and after dyno runs with intake mods and the baseline for the 325 was like 30 below. I need to look again to make sure.. The HP that BMW says is flywheel horsepower so you can drop a good 12-15% in the drivetrain.
-
Welp, i finally retired my old car a couple days ago. I was definitely ready. 10 years, 167,000 miles... Oye...... So we bought this one. Black is kind of scary... So much cleaning, but damn it looks good when it\'s clean.
-
Beautiful. Black may be a bitch to clean but that 10 minutes when its actually clean, it looks sick ;)
-
This car is SOOOOOO much quicker than my old one. I\'ve never owned a turbo so it\'s pretty freaking fun so far.
-
I\'ve never owned or driven a car with a turbo so I wouldn\'t know :( But it definitely does sound like a lot of fun. How many horsepower is that?
-
300hp. I have warranty till 100k so it\'ll be staying there for a little while. There is quite a bit of aftermarket stuff out there to take advantage of the twin turbos. plug and play you can add another 15-20% without getting your hands dirty.
-
What\'s all this talk of black being dirty and a bitch to clean?...that\'s raci....oh nevermind....nice whip Vid!!...:thumb:....BMW\'s have strong engines even without the turbo, so i\'m sure that thing is a beast...that\'s a good look!....:fro:
