My roomates game was just lost thanks to a powerouttage while he was saving his game. I feel that the freaking long ass time it takes to save this game is at least half to blame. Anyway, is there a way to correct this? Is there anyone out there with a reader who can rebuild the save file?

I never really took THAT long to save before.
I dont think its even possible to rebuild a lost file.

It seams to me that when the engineers were working on the saving proticals, then thought... 1) We can make this really safe and always save to a new file, once it\'s saved then delete the older file. this would be expensive or 2) delete the old file then save the new one, this would be let exspensive on space but less safe. Then some idot though 2 was the good idea.

You can have more than one save at any one time.

I understand this, but havn\'t you ever noticed the little message they give you when you are saving. "... Don\'t turn off the consel or your data will be lost..." This is cuase they didn\'t use a triditional save file protical to save space on your memory card. Not a smart idea if you ask me.

what if u turn off ur com while saving u most prob will corrupt that file, like it on all ps2 games, and other coms, i always have 2 different saves

Wow, looks like you have to start from the beginning :D

Well, it\'s not my game it\'s my friends so I don\'t care much. And if you are saving on a computer when the power goes out you will lose that save, but you won\'t loose your previous save. That is if you use quality software.
