Title: At what point in the game can you start buying assets

I\'m at the point where I have to do missions for those bikers (Messing with the man at the moment), and so far, I haven\'t been able to buy/take over any assets. How far away am I from being able to start?

I think the mission called shakedown is the one that leads you into buying property. I have still to complete messing with the man but I own all the property. I think the shakedown mission is one of Diaz\'s. He is located on Starfish island in the big mansion.

I have already killed Diaz and taken over the mansion.

I think you need to visit Kentpaul (K on map first), this should lead you into the Vercetti missions (V on map). Eventually you will get one called shakedown after which  you can buy property.

I\'ve just had a couple of tries at that mission, but I keep running out of time.

Give me a synopsis of the mission, and I might be able to
help (I forget what you had to do).

Also, I swore I owned some property before I got Diaz\'s
mansion...am I imagining things?

yeah, but he means like business, like ce cream shop, porn studios atc, where u make money from

Shakedown

Get in a fast car and get to North Point mall as fast as possible. Get in the entrance and use an uzi to break the windows, its quicker cos its faster firing. Ignore all the police chasing you, its pretty hard to get caught. Just make ur way round the mall as quick as you can, if you spot a motorbike just before you go in the mall, hop on it and drive inside the mall on it. When all windows are broken, the mission is complete, you dont have to get back inside the time limit, and your wanted level will go. Also dont forget that some shops are upstairs too!!

That mission was fun :)

EDIT: Bah, stupid smilies :mad:
