Title: How do you switch games?
Post by: Metal Gear on November 23, 2002, 09:40:50 AM: When you switch games what do you do?It says in the manual that you don\'t have to turn the ps2 off when you switch games.What do you guys do?

A:When I want to switch games I set the ps2 on standby and then i take the first game out and put the second game in.Then I set it from stand by to on and I play the second game.

B:I just open the cd drawer while the game is running(you don\'t put it on standby) I take the first game out and pop the second one in.Then I press reset.

When I follow path b the game always says"the disc tray is open please close the disc tray"

Post by: seven on November 23, 2002, 11:04:42 AM: you do so as it says it in the manual. Switching of the console and on is bad - you may brake it that way. To switch games, simply press the eject button.

Post by: Viper_Fujax on November 23, 2002, 11:07:55 AM: For some reason, i did that once when i rented nhl hits, and my game was saved, then i ejected it while it was in the starting menu, then the next time i tried to load my game it couldnt, so i had to delete it. I usually hold down the on button till it goes red, press the eject button, then put in the other game. I dunno if that hurts it but my ps2 doesnt seem damaged er anything. If it does hurt the ps2 to do that plz let me know.

-then swap discs
-then I close the tray either by pressing eject or pushing the tray in a little
-then i press reset

That\'s how I do it. My PS2 still doing fine.

Post by: Luke on November 23, 2002, 01:42:19 PM: i press eject, take out the game i was playing then take the cd i wanna put in and take a 5 step drop and huck the game in the tray from 10 feet out. then i do my patented "cd tray close" dance and the tray closes. then i take a 7 foot stick otherwise known as my weiner and use it to push reset... and then im done.

3.press reset(No reason to push eject again and then reset)

Post by: jiggs on November 23, 2002, 04:04:17 PM: I wondered a bout that. sometimes when I push the reset its shuts down other times it resets. Is my PS2 bad or somthing?

Post by: Unicron! on November 23, 2002, 04:11:45 PM: No.Your PS2 isnt bad.Just dont push it much.I think thats because you are pushing it more than needed and set your PS2 in stand by mode instead of reseting it.

1. Pause the game, press the eject button.
2. Swap the disc\'s.
3. Press reset and the disc tray will close and the system will restart.

Game will load..

2. then i throw my ps2 out of a window

3. by now i can really get in on this bitch.....and i tear the top off reveiling my disk inside

4. then i throw the disk on the ground and slam the next one in it.

5. i take the top and staple it to the base and stomp it down a bit

6. then i press the reset button.

it works for me
