I have Broadband and can not connect to any of the races , can BB users not play with 56k\'rs on this game?

I just rented this game and i cant even find the button that says "online play" er anything. Where do i look cuz i dont see it on the main menu.

Ya, i ment to edit my other post on what had happened but i was too pissed off. Okay. I went to blockbuster and saw a game behind ATV2, so i picked it up, take it home and see no online thing. Post asking why i dont see online anywhere. Next time i eject the fricken game its the first ATV.AHHHH. quite frusterating, but it is only 6 bux and i dont think they would have accepted any money back deals since it did say on the box that it was the first ATV. I just assumed it was the second ATV the whole time since it was behind the ATV2 box. Learned my lesson of the day.

Are you behind a firewall? You might need to open certain
ports or set your PS2 as the DMZ. Your firewall/gateway
router or the game manual might explain how to do this.

I\'ve ran into problems with NCAA Basketball, Madden and NBA
Live with my firewall (nothing major, I set the PS2 as the DMZ
and all is well, but I have had the problem where I can log
in to the game, but can\'t play anything, before).

Is this thing fun online?  It looks great from the videos I\'ve seen.  The trailer for it on the Network Adapter CD looks amazing.

I was thinking of buying it with some of my Christmas money... this and Socom.

Yeah, atv2 is definitely worth the cash...... I was kinda skeptical about dishing it out cuz the first edition was a little weak, but the new one rocks... even the soundtrack is kick ass. not to mention the track editor so you can design your own race....

Dude, I played this game at my friend\'s house and then ended up having to save money for two weeks to get it, but it was totally worth it; just the online play makes it worth the cash.

Yeah, ATV 1 doesnt go online...which is a huge reason to get the second, besides the fact that it is so much better!  I\'ve played online a few times now and its tons of fun....I have dial up and dont have any problems.  This game totally kicks ass!  Go into yahoo gamers room sometime...there is usually some peeps there that are lookin to play PS2 games online.
