Title: Too many games?
Post by: jiggs on November 25, 2002, 11:22:53 PM
This is can be good or bad but with all the great games out there now its getting harder to play anything. For example you sit down for some good GTA VC and 15 minutes into the game madden online begins to whisper in your ear.

It could be Two Towers for Metroid or any one of the great games out there and in my collection. Its like living in Miami there is so much to do you end up just staying at home.

Maybe this is a good problem but its real. Anyone else out there suffering from this blessing or curse.

BTW games are still getting played it must be this time of year I guess its feast or famine. But it sure looks like the feast will continue for a while.

I just love bringing new games home.

I know what you mean Jiggs!  I have Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, Ratchet & Clank, and Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers!  I want to play all of them!!  I hate going to the video store because I buy new games knowing that I have other games I haven\'t finished yet.  My wife complains about this all the time!:D

Is it a blessing or a curse?  I say for me, it\'s a curse.  I got all the consoles including Dreamcast with a pile of games I haven\'t even played yet like Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, and Shenmue!  Damn you Sony!  Damn you Nintendo!  But when you have been playing videogames since the Atari 2600 it a damn FUN CURSE!!;)

Too many, too many... I\'m currently playing Ratchet and Clank, Hitman 2 and GTA : VC on the PS2, and I feel there\'s to much to do in those three already! The past 4 days have been just gaming bliss almost 24/7... except for the moments I spend at school and eating and... stuff.

And I still want Kingdom Hearts, Burnout 2, TimeSplitters 2 and ICO... :(

Exactly when are too many good games really too many?  There just isn\'t enough time for 3 consoles and a PC full of good games.

I\'m about to finish J&D for the first time, but I still have to start MoH:Frontline, Silent Hill 2, RE: Code Veronica, and I\'ve only been able to play through the first level of Contra SS b/c of not having enough time lately. That doesn\'t even include the new games I want to get soon, or that I may get for Christmas, and some PSX games that I want to play that I haven\'t yet.

I still need to give Ratchet and Clank another go as I wasn\'t overly impressed with the first two levels.

Other than that...I can\'t think of anything until January and on.

Then it will be-
Panzer Dragoon, Devil May Cry 2, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Zelda, Vexx, Wario World, Malice, Ninja Gaiden, Kameo, Dark Cloud 2, Halo 2, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, FFX-2, Unlimited Saga, Star Ocean 3, Sonic 3 (I\'m guessing)...

2002 was crap for videogames, IMO.  2003 looks to make up for it though...at least for me.

I buy so many games and a lot I have zero intenion of playing or I just dislike.

By all means, I\'m way behind, but at the same time, most of what I buy I hate or Just have no interest in finishing - so its ok.

The only games I\'m enjoying right now is Shinobi (sorta), Metriod Fusion and hopefully Rygar...

Oh and Capcom Generation 3 - once it comes in!

I have really slowed down in my gaming perchases.  I figure that instead of buying every great game that comes out, then rushing through them so I have time to play the next great game, I would just buy one.  That way I can enjoy it to its fullest and also save some money by waiting until games get really cheap before buying them.

I have been playing MK: DA for the past week.  Very fun game BTW. :)

Ginko, I hear that after about level 6 is where Ratchet and Clank really starts to shine.  I haven\'t played it yet, so I can\'t say for sure.
