yes, Jim Thome agreed to sign with the Philadelphia Phillies for 85 Million and 6 Yrs for an option on the 7th year.....all for the $$$ another Athlete Brainwashed by his Agent! he DID so much for the Communtiy........what a duche! he now joins Manny and Albert belle is the biggest loosers to leave cleveland!!!!!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Bah.... Cool to see another Injuns\' fan on these boards.... Yeah definately blows, Thome was the only guy that had some stick.
-
Hey, I\'d do the same thing. He\'s walking out of a bad situation in Cleveland...a team that is only going downhill, and that showed by trading Colon that they aren\'t committed to winning soon, and going to a team showing it is committed to winning soon, which is getting a new stadium as well.
-
since thome left, omars chances of leaving just went up! atleast we got some good replacements.........

Might be for the best. Now you can really embrace the rebuilding process, and hopefully have a great team once again a little down the road.
-
Or he did it cause the Indians suck.
-
Meanwhile, the Cubs addressed their bullpen problems by signing Top Bullpen Free Agent Mike Remlinger to a 3 year, 10.5 million dollar deal. Remlinger previously played for the Cubs, and getting him back makes the Cubs much better on the pitching side of things. Huge pick-up for the Cubs.
Now, if they could sign Jeff Kent, and maybe resign Lieber for less, the Cubs might just make a run at things.
See Yuz.

I would love to see the Cubs do well. After listening to you bitch about em so much James, I\'ve actually started to like em. I\'d love to see them get Kent...and maybe Lieber for less...
...or maybe Maddux :)
-
they could pull a Seattle and win a crapload of games after their "big Star" Leaves.......the indians......naaaahhhh
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:

Yeah, I never understood the Mariners. Each time they lost their best player, they got better. I mean, it\'d be one thing if it happened to them once, but it happened 3 times in a matter of a few years!
-
mariners being my hometeam, they sucked this past season :(,
and in a couple of years we\'ll probably lose ichiro and win like 300 games (if it were possible)
-
Sucked? I\'m a Mets fan. Go to hell
-
^^^ What he said!!!
-
You\'re a Yankees fan. Go to hell
-
Mets are my secondary team, you only hate me for my political views, you shouldn\'t flame ya know!!!
;-)
-
I\'m a Cubs fan...I think you can all go to hell!
Can anybody beat being a Cubs fan? ;)
See Yuz.
-
I\'m sure there are people out there that can beat that. Like what if I claimed to be a Cubs/Bengals/Clippers fan?
Mike: Yeah, but your main team is a team that spends more money, and wins more often than any other team. You can\'t complain when other teams talk about their success if that\'s the case. Oh, and I don\'t hate you for your political views. I hate you because you live in Central Texas. ;)
-
Lets see here...Political Views, Yankees fan, Central Texas...
That\'s just about as bad as it gets ;-)
See Yuz.

Go Reds

all that with bobby hill and hee sop choi backing up the infield and remlinger as the set-up man things are looking good for next year

The Bears have won Superbowls, and were dominant at a time...hell, they were good last year. The bengals haven\'t been good in over a decade, and never won a Super Bowl. The Bulls have won 6 titles in about the last decade.

yea but the bengals had this guy
-
Haha, but CRIS COLLINSWORTH IS MY HERO!
Anyway, that starting lineup - bugs me for some reason. I\'d much rather have Bobby Hill at 2nd in front of Grudzelanik. As for 1st base, I think it\'s Hee Soep Chii\'s time to do something. This trade kind of delayed his progress in my opinion...I hope he\'s not in Triple A, though -- the Cubs have this problem of not bringing guys up from the Minors.
There\'s one more thing the Cubs have to do, however -- land Jeff Kent. If that happens, the Cubs are set for a run at the NL Central. That, and restructuring Lieber\'s contract might not be too bad in a couple of years :)

well the indians made a trade and now diaz and Drese are gone.......... since texas released pudge rodriguez...they better get him...they should have traded for him......fools!
:hat:killaX:hat:
-
I doubt they even go for Pudge. *shrug* Go Glavine. Now there\'s a traitor :)
-
the indians lost their starting catcher..........they need a vetran catcher.........they have Bard and MArtinez.......both rookies........
-
Or, the Cubs sign Pudge (becuase that looks the most likely, actually), then the Cubs trade Damian Miller to the Indians for a couple of prospects.
I think that\'d be fair :)
