Ouch! And no more Evo like before....they\'ll be returning with the COLT! Yes! Looks like Peugot\'s little car has made and impact on the sport of WRC coz the larger cars just can\'t quite turn on the dime.
What a shocker!

Whats the Colt look like these days? Haven\'t seen one in years.

Oooh, thats a Mirage in AUS.
-
We don\'t have them at all in the UK.
-
I\'ve seen a few here. They aren\'t popular.
-
Great, just what Mitsubishi needs... starting from scratch with a new car once again. Of course the Evolution was so uncompetitive last season, I guess they figure it doesn\'t make any difference.
I also heard Ford is dropping the Focus in favor of some other compact car. I don\'t remember which one...

Maybe it\'ll be the Ford Ka! We don\'t have these in the US thank god.

They are so ugly, they got discontinued here in AUS because no one bought them.

Are there any FWD rally cars?
-
When you say FWD you mean Front Wheel or Four Wheel?
All rally cars in the WRC are 4WD.
I think the commercial version of the Accent is FWD.

I meant Front Wheel Drive. I wasn\'t sure what drivetrain they had, I\'m American, remember? :p
I just asked because alot of the daily driver versions of the cars have different drivetrains.
-
Many of the WRC cars are FWD in production, but the modified WRC version is AWD. For example, the Ford Focus, Peugeot 206, Hyundai Accent, and Citroen Xsara are all FWD. The WRC drivetrain is so heavily modified, it bears virtually no resemblence to the production version.
Only the Subaru and Mitsubishi are AWD in production. I don\'t know about the Skoda Octavia.

There is an F2 class in WRC which is the front wheel drive cars. Citreons are beastly in the tarmac stages as they cleary have an advantage on dry days. But they can actually take points from the top six drivers if they get a podium finish. So although the classes are seperated, the points are not.
Then again, they\'ve changed teh rules somewhat since I last checked.
