Title: Contra: Shattered Soldier
Post by: alienmagic on December 09, 2002, 01:37:01 PM
I\'ve had this game for a few weeks, but I just really got to start playing it last night. This game is incredible. It\'s no secret that the original Contra is still one of my all time favorite games, and this game is just plain non-stop action-oriented fun.

Yep, like everyone has said, it\'s hard, but that\'s one of the great things about this game. You get killed a lot, but you learn to play more skillfully and memorize sections until you have mastered an area/boss/level/etc., and mastering those is extremely satisfying.

I recommend this game to anyone who ever loved 8-bit and 16-bit side scrollers when they were the staple of video gaming. Be prepared for a little frustration, but it\'s well worth it.
