Title: So this is what the stone age felt like.
Post by: Heat on December 12, 2002, 09:43:45 AM
Well, my TV broke and as I thought it was the tube, the Tv guy has just taken it and it\'s going to be 4 weeks, so now I\'ve just finished hooking up my old 14" with mono sound, it sucks so much ass, my beautiful widescreen to this. I fell so down right.

Think thats bad? I once moved into a dorm with no cable and the reception was so bad that the only channel we got clearly was TNT. TN-Freaking-T!!! About 12-14 weaks of 10 different movies. Sometimes we were lucky and got the same movie 4 times in a row. TNT is the best.

Wait...did I say best? I meant the worst piece of shit excuse for a TV channel EVER.

My new Sony HDTV Widescreen came in today. Along with a five-disc Pioneer DVD changer, sorround sound and a Pioneer 500watt DTS/5.1 receiver.

I\'m 19. I live at home - but I do have bills. I have a highly expensive car payment (brand new 2002 Celica-GT), out of the ass insurance and other bills. Still, I work five-six days a week, 12 hours a day and I make decent money.

The point? As much as I hate work , it helps buy nice things and I can still afford to carry my own weight around the household, instead of being a bum.

You do realize to make lots of money legally you have to work - and you do realize that work takes up 90 percent of your time and that work is one of the worst things ever, right? You do realize all of this? Because, if my mother would allow me to live at home - never work, I would. I hate working, but it allows me to afford nice things, that a lot of times I can\'t enjoy because I\'m always workin\'. Hell, I just called in today for the week because my HDTV came in. Otherwise I wouldn\'t get time to set it up and enjoy it.

Work sucks. Plain and simple.

LIC the real question is do you have a girlfriend?  If the answer is no, then I can easily see how you can afford that stuff.  If you do have one then you are teh thief!!

Or one can have one that is on the same team like me :) We have plenty of toys, but I think it\'s mainly due to the fact we share many common intrests as far as toys.

In Atlanta, TNT comes on regular TV. Ted Turner is from GA so I guess thats why. All of his channels are based in GA including: CNN, TNT, CNNSI and whatever else he owns.

Guarentee? Dont you mean warrantee? Heat, if I were you, I\'d get a new TV. TV\'s now are cheap, especially after the HDTVs came out.

Just because you have nice stuff and make grandeous purchases, that doesn\'t mean that you are rich.  I\'m FAR from rich, but I don\'t live in a shithole either.

Thank you, Vid.

If you\'re anything like me Vid, you work hard for the things you do buy.
