"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States has evidence that Iran has secretly been constructing large nuclear facilities -- sites that could possibly be used to make nuclear weapons, senior U.S. officials tell CNN."
http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/meast/12/12/iran.nuclear/index.html
Not mentioned in that article is that this information was apparently discovered at the same time as we intitially found out about North Korea\'s nuclear weapons program....all of which was discovered (yet not disclosed) prior to Bush getting war powers against Iraq. Coincidence?
Ok, let me see here: two of the three "Axis of Evil" countries are building Nukes. One has even admitted it. Yet we are threatening war towards the third country, which has no proven nuke program or even pretty satellite photos suggesting that such a program exists. That make a LOT of sense.
-
^^^^^ yous right!!! bush is just trying to finish what his dad started......
-
Iraq will be a breeze. The other two will need help. Russia and China will have to help with North Korea next.
-
Can you guys get your intelligence teams in touch with my team.
Because my intelligence department is giving me information that is opposite of yours.
Thanks!

^^^??????
-
Yes, please elaborate Ace.
-
How come you guys think we are being told everything. Do you think it\'s possible that there is info that we are not aware of yet.
To assume that our government is putting everything out on the table for all to see is probably naive.

^^^^^^^^hmmmmmmmmmm.......WORD.
-
Of course they dont, but that doesnt seem to be the issue with me. If CNN broke the story recently, who knows how long intelligence has known. So why are they not being actively persued or threatened with war. That is the point I was trying to convey.
-
didnt bush already say hes willing to use nukes?
-
Ok, what im saying is. Why arent we preparing for war with N.Korea or Iran, 2 countries n the "axis of evil" but go after a 3rd with no proof of having nukes or the capabilities.
-
We are not going after N. Korea for that reason. They have nukes and the dynamics have changed. This is why it is necessary to stop a country like Iraq from developing such a weapon. We can\'t afford to let this happen with Iraq.
Iran is news to me and I need to read up on it.
SirMystiq,
GWB has let it be known that if Nuclear or biological weapons are used against us or our allies we will not hesitate to turn them into radioactive dust.

If you guys are so sure of yourselves run for president!

If I had millions of dollars, was 100% white, and was 35 years of age, I probably would for shits and giggles.
-
I\'m sure you would

I think we are more worried at this point with terrorism and these weapons getting into the hands of actual terrorists than we are with countries. North Korea will have its day, but I think that needs to be led by China or Russia and we ride their coat tails.
Iran should just be leveled.
-
Have you guys seen Fist of the North Star or something similar in the anime department? It\'s post WWIII and land everywhere is completely desolate due to nuclear war, with leaders beating the sh*t out of people just to get an ounce more power. Watching these scenes makes me think of the mid east.
Why do these jackasses insist on spending millions to secretly build their sh*thole empire while their people are starving?
-
It was just a matter of time before most of these countries tried to get nukes. With the collapse of the USSR we focused entirely on the actual weapons themselves and pretty much ignored the unemployed Russian scientists who are now helping these countries. As most have said N. Korea is going to be a difficult matter. They are upset over the 5 billion in aid we didn\'t give them which some might see as a bribe to stop building their nuclear program and selling arms. With all that is going on, it sort of makes me wish we still had the USSR around to enforce a detant.

actually, the live version of fist of the northstar was pretty damn cool

F£$% even the rats in the asylum had to save him.
Keanu has only 2 modes
- Wooden Plank Mode (used a lot in THE MATRIX and SPEED)
- Grinning Gimp Mode (used a lot in THE REPLEACEMENTS)
I swear he has made in Taiwan stamped on his bottom

Well back on topic, Iraq is more of a threat not to really use nuclear weapons on us, yet they wouldn\'t think twice to sell it to a terrorist group and do there dirty work for them. I mean as long as for the most part it doesn\'t trace back to them they are in the clear and we won\'t touch them.
I think this is more about not Iraq being able to use them, but giving them to someone that would and enjoying seeing us blown to shit.
Luckee Iran and N. Korea aren\'t as big a threat as Iraq is too us, besides we don\'t have treaties to my knowledge with either N. Korea or Iran not to build weapons, but with Iraq after we defeated them signed a whole bunch of shit saying they wouldn\'t and since they aren\'t listening we might have to do something about it.
Don\'t get me wrong I don\'t think how Bush is handling is right I think he should take a more conservative approach to it and let the U.N go through there progressions and then if all else fails go in there, but only as a last resort or if we can 100% prove that he has some types of Nuclear weapons.
I don\'t know about some of you, but if that Psycho Hussein had nukes I\'d be very afraid.
