Its all theory.  But I watched something on Discovery about them last night and they had almost completly changed their thoughts on what \'black holes\' (they are called that because their black; you cant see them and they supposedly attract matter=hole) are.

They should just send a rocket to one and see what happens. I personally don\'t see how there can be a blackhole. How are things sucked in? Anyway, I should do a bit of research before I say what I believe.

It\'d take like a bajillion years for it to reach the nearest one, and by then everyone has forgotten that we even sent a rocket out

We would never find out what the rocket encountered because it\'s radio transmissions could never leave the gravitational pull of the black hole.

Ditto what he said. The same is said as far as light, hence the term "black hole" :)

I wonder what happens to items sucked into the whole and essentially wouldnt that mean the universe is constantly getting smaller and smaller and cease to exist one day?

Actually, a popular theory suggests that the universe is actually getting bigger and bigger at a steadily increasing rate.  Eventually, we may not even be able to see other stars in the night time sky because we are so far away..... and dead...... :)

As you all know Im working on a theory with a collegue of mine.
According to that theory a black hole and what we would call neutrons are the same thing. Its like looking on a gigantic neutron. Sounds crazy I know but belive me, it makes total sence if you understand the theory behind our theory.

Well, I dont know if you have missed the thread where I explained that me and a collegue has developed a new theory. This theory explain tons of unexplained physical phenomena. We are working on the theory every day(I took a break and checked out PSX2C just now). After a couple of month we could use the theory on different phenomena to see if it can give a natural explaination to different phenomena. One of this things we applied it to was black holes. And the result was a beutiful solution that answers the questions about black holes. I will give a explaination to what a black hole is in our theory.
A black hole is not an object. Its more like Anti-space. Or lack of space. There is 2 types of space. Space and anti-space. Everything that is build of anti-space causes gravity. Everything that is build of space causes electromagnetic force. If the nettospace is positiv a repulsing force appears and if the nettospace is negativ a attractiv force appears.
So a proton has to be netto positiv space and a neutron has to be netto anti-space. A black hole is just lots of anti-space. I can neutralize this anti-space with space. So if I managed to create tons of protons and make them go in the direction of the black hole I can neutralize the anti-space so the neto-space becomes zero.

This is just a very simpel explaination of what a black hole is according to our theory. But I hope it has answered some of your questions Bob. If you have more questions about BH or other things I would really appreciate those questions. You see we need more questions to apply to our theory.

According to your theory, what affect would this have on a human being?  What would happen to a human if he was "neutralized"?

Ok, hold your breath here it comes.

All life has a nettospace that is positive. The earth itself has a nettospace that is negative.
Protons and photons are in a simple way LESA in our theory. Neutrons and electrons are anti-LESA in our theory.

This means applied to life and earth that all life is build of more protons than neutrons and the earth itself is build of more neutrons than protons.

The earth itself has a netto of anti-LESA meaning it will cancel out positiv LESA. To avoid this all life has to prevent this. Humans are doing this by eating stuff that has more protons than neutrons.
trees and flowers and stuff like that are using the positiv LESA in sunlight to avoid beeing cancelled out.
I cant go deeper in the explaination without telling to much about the theory.
One thing will I tell though.
Lets take an apple that gets lesa from the tree to avoid being cancelled out by the Anti-LESA from the earth. As long as the apple is hanging on the tree and the tree is giving LESA to the apple the apple doesnt cancel out.

After the apple falls down there is nothing to avoid the apple from beeing cancelled out by the negativ LESA from the earth. In our theory, protons will change to neutrons in the apple due to the lack of positiv LESA. This changes the apple and when it comes to the stage where it is just as many neutrons as protons it cant be used by the body to help preventing the body from being canceled out. This is a rutten apple.

Back to your question: A human beeing cancelled out is a human that is dead and are slowly turned into neutrons.

I hope this explaination helps out a little bit.

Black holes have very strong gravitational pulls which suck in things and when they go in the separate and explode and such because the gravity pulls are all in different directions. And 2 blkack holes are eventually going to collide and destory everything in the unvierse. I saw that on the Daily Show.

Hey Bossieman, that actually sounds like something out of Final Fantasy.  :D

So how do you plan on proving that when something has just as many neutrons as protons that it.. dies?

That was not what I said. When a apple falls from the tree, the moment that happens the apple starts to die. When the amount of neutrons becomes as many as the protons the nettospace is no longer positive. This means that if I eat it will give my body more anti-Lesa than LESA.

No life on this planet is build of more neutrons than protons. Nobody knows why but we do. We have a very good explaination to why all life on this planet is build of more protons than neutrons.

So there is no problem proving that all life is build of more protons than neutrons.

Remember that in our theory there is no protons or neutrons, Just LESA. LESA is like a combination of energy and space.

You dont need to belive anything. But IMO the expansion of the universe is a result of our way to see what redshift means.
Its not a fact. Todays astronomers belives that expansion is the best way to explain why we observe redshifted light from galaxies. That doesnt mean it is the ultimate truth.

What will happen if 2 black holes collide?

If Black Holes are like holes on a sheet that lead to another place of the universe my guess is that if they collide the universe will start compressing itself.....Just try to put one hole of the sheet into another.
Which one goes through the other? If behind each hole there is the same universe then imgine one universe trying to pull the other which is actually the same universe trying to pull itself.

Yes, but the atoms and molecules that we and all life are build of has more protons than neutrons. Take humans. We are 70% water. Water is H2O. 2 Hydrogen, 1 proton in every hydrogen and no neutrons. Oxygen is 8 protons and 8 neutrons.
This gives the result that a watermolecul has 10 protons and 8 neutrons.
So humans are build of more protons than neutrons. The earth itself is build of more neutrons than protons. No life on this planet has more neutrons than protons.

You\'ve got some interesting theories, but I\'m still convinced that a black hole is something like: - a star that has used up its thermonuclear fuels, it becomes unstable and gravitationally collapses inward upon itself.  The gravitational force is so strong that light cannot escape from it.  We only know where they are because of the effects they have on nearby stars.

How come you are still convinced a black star is what you said it was? Is it because you have read what other people thinks a black hole is. Is it your belife a black hole is what you described it to be or is it someone else belife?
A black hole in todays theories are a consecvence of a mathematical equation, nothing else.

I agree with Bossieman.  This is a textbook theory as to what a black hole is.  Why I started the thread was to give your own personal opinion.  If you think it happened this way just because you read it somewhere,  OK.

I think black holes are another realm,  or dimension that cannot be seen.

I have heard posts that black holes are moving.  How do we know this?  I\'ve watched what a scientist thinks is a black hole by some stars.  They took a photo of the stars and the probable black hole in August and another in July.  The stars moved with the gravity but the light that the scientist thinks is a black hole remained still.  How does a black hole move?  Has it been proven that they move?

I\'ve watched a few programs about space & black holes, even super black holes (thought to reside in the centers of most galaxies).  In these programs you get scientists & astronomers telling you their theories.

Now I\'m not saying that they are definitely correct, but they have been studying this stuff for a long time and have research passed on from the people before them.  So when I watched these programs and listened to their theories, they sound pretty convincing and are backed up with allot of research.

Basically you haven’t said allot to convince me they are wrong.  Are you some kind of astronomer?  Do you have one of these massive telescopes?  How convinced are you that your theory is correct?

Maybe once your theory and evidence are made public, people will look at the universe differently.  Until then I\'ll believe the people with the big telescopes and renowned professors like Steven Hawkings.
