Title: PS2 Freezing

i\'ve had a problem with my PS2 freezing - any PS2 games i try to play would freeze at random times, it happens every single time and i always need to reset before playing and freezing again

i\'m wondering if you guys have any clue on how to fix this problem,
i\'ll appreciate a lot

Post by: KillaX on December 23, 2002, 08:48:22 PM: try a lens cleaner.....it is a disk you buy and put in and play certain tracks to clean it (maxell has one that works pretty good) and how scratched up are your disks??????? if that isnt it try turing your PS2 Verticle if that doesnt help go to gamefaqs.com and they have a faq about fixing the lazer

that games may crash. Anyway, that\'s what the clerk at the
gameshop said. Try to play some of those games with a fresh
memory card installed or no mem. card at all. See what happens.

today i was watching the bonus features of minority report and it froze. all these green looking squares came up and the pictures were messed up. It didn\'t freeze the picture completely like the PS2 games but the pictures were messed up.

I was hoping the new games wont freeze my system but it did the same exact thing. It freezes less than 5 mins into the game each and every time, I didn\'t even get to play 1 min of the ACTUAL game.

i have no idea but i called sony up today and they said they will repair it for a discounted price of $64

I know it\'s some kinda internal problem and I don\'t think I can fix it on my own..
