Let\'s see if PSX2C members spend the time in books too. Apart from games and coins, I think one of my prominent hobbies is reading. So, what are your 3 favourite books of all time?
Mine:
1) The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follet
2) The Lord of the Rings, by JRRT
3) The False Pilgrims, by Nicholas Wilcox
-
1)The eyes of the Dragon by Steven King
2)The lost world by Michael Chriton(I am a dinosaur fan:))
3)The other is in Greek.Dont know how to write it down:p
-

I\'m reading Jurassic Park right now- great book.

I am trying to find the english Lord of the rings but I can only find the book translated in greek. And usually translations lose some of the original\'s magic.
-
Damn, I\'ve read so much that I can hardly give you a top 3. :)
Oh well, here are three books that I liked a lot:
1. The Lord of the Rings (though it\'s technically a trilogy, Tolkien saw it as one book ;))
2. 1984
3. The Foundation series

Hey folks, it\'s H.P. Lovecraft, not H.B. I\'ve read a huge amount of Lovecraft, and I love it. I tend to have very good memories of "The Whisperer in Darkness" and "The Shadow out of Time" and "The Shadow over Innsmouth." I once ran a Lovecraft-style role playing game based on "The Whisperer..." Sort of a modern version of that story, with many of the same elements. It was pretty cool if I do say so.
Oh yeah, "At the Mountains of Madness" and "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" are two other favorites. There\'s so much cool stuff there, and you can read it over and over and over...

You know, when I was writing my post I looked at it and thought "...something just isn\'t right" but after about 2,3 seconds of thinking I just pressed the post button.
My memory\'s failing me in my old age. :p

And I followed nO-One blindly. Stupid me ;)

And you did not count Hustler?!?!
Jebus Cripes boy, have you no taste.
Why settle(sp?) for good looking celebrity skin when you can have sluts.
-
I never read Hustler. Is it a book or magazine? I though All Quiet on the Western Front was good. I\'m gonna borrow it from the library and finish it. My teacher gave us so much to read and I didn\'t have the time so I used spark notes. What I did read though was terrific and vowed that I will finish it.

this is a thread that makes me think.....
Well my top 3 will be the ones that I got the most into, at that time in my life.
1. The Running Man- Richard Bachman (aka Stephen King) read this during Freshmen year and loved it, however I don\'t think I would enjoy it as much now, since my tastes have changed.
2. The Giver- Louis Lowry. I had to read this for my speed reading class, and liked it enough to go back through the book and read for pleasure. While this is somewhat a kiddie book, I still liked it.
3. Farenhiet 451-Ray Bradbury. Another i had to read for my speed reading class. I was reading this one during the whole 9-11 thing, and the similarities were spooky, which is why this one is on the top 3.

Secure, fast, easy... not very cheap of course, but it\'s a chance at least.
