Looks cool (and small  ). :)
-
Now that\'s a handheld.
Best. Design. Ever. Still needs two more buttons, but look how could it is. :(
-
I personally don\'t like the design.
The GBA design was great, this is just a boring looking GBC that you can fold over.
-
I\'ll get it, only because I don\'t have a GBA yet. I like the design of it, but it doesn\'t look very comfortable.
Having a backlit screen and recharable battery will be great.
It doesn\'t look like E-readers will work with this thing tho.
-
Wow.A portable GBA.Would it burn my penis?
-
Are they still making the old version? Anyway, that\'s pretty cool. I guess I\'ll pick one of those up one day. They are small and can fit right in my pocket.
-
I can actually see myself buying and playing that thing. Looks cool and modern where as the original GBA made me too selfconscious to use in public. (I know. Its very sad.)
Thumbs up Nintendo. As long as the battery lasts for a decent amount of time then I\'m sold.
-
Thumbs up, Nintendo. They apparently put a lot of effort into it to make the front-light feasible. Too bad that I already own a GBA with Afterburner which seems like a waste of money now that GBA-SP is coming. *sigh*
-
Looks much better, but the position of the buttons will take some time to get used to. I\'m not going to get it since I am currently satisfied with my GBA at the moment...
-
Is the screen the same size?
-
I think so.

Lasts 10 hours with the light, and 18 hours without.

For those in the N.Y. area channel 5 news will be doing a story on the new gameboy advanced SP at 10pm.
-
yeah, I saw the samething
-
looks cool, I might pick one up when they come out.
-
I\'ll buy one but I got complaints.
(1) Why wasn\'t this the original design Damnit!
(2) It doesn\'t look very comfortable.
Other than that, great modern design. Kudos to Nintendo.
-
The model is not very nice, but the backlight option is what I\'ve been waiting for years.
-
LiC: Actually, PGC\'s Billy Berghammer (30-year-old guy, i.e. big hands) says the design feels better. :)
-
its looks are decieving, it looks like the controls are too close together, but they\'re probably very comfortable.
-
For the record, the screen is the same size and the E-Reader will work.
However, PGC reports the system won\'t be able to handle tilt-sensitive games such as Kirby\'s Tilt-n-Tumble.
And in my opinion? Sexy. I\'m getting one right away! :)

I think it will feel good.... more like the classic gameboy.

http://www.gamerevolution.com says that it will not work with the E-reader.

That\'s interesting. It does say that.
Straight from PGC: All accessories work with it, everything. Including the e-Reader.
So there\'s definitely a conflict there.
There might have been confusion stemming from this bit of Nintendo\'s press release:
All current and future Game Boy Advance games are compatible with the new system. And, similarly, Game Boy Advance SP is backward compatible, allowing use with virtually all games and accessories previously released in the Game Boy line.
"Virtually" all. That might be where E-Reader and tilt-n-tumble games fit in.
But as long as Castlevania, Sonic, etc play on that baby, I\'m there. :)

Food for thought: Nintendo has confirmed that they will slowly phase out the original GBA design - which would mean, if this didn\'t work with the EcardReader, than the Ecard Reader would also be dead. I somehow doubt Nintendo is killing it already. Then again, it has been underwhelming. I don\'t ever use mine.
-
E-Reader works with it, but current Tilt-Pak games (Kirby\'s Tile and Tumble) will not.
-
I like the rechargeable batteries...
-
That thing is... one of the ugliest things I\'ve seen in a long while. And for something\'s sake I saw a picture of Michael Jackson the other day.
-
that looks really cool. kinda pda-ish
-
I don\'t like it.. looks too "original GameBoy"-ish. I like the design of the one I got, and Im not too concerned about the backlight. The only time I play mine is at work, and well, the lighting there is perfect for GBA.
