I\'d like it, as long as it\'s not a 3D machine. If I want 3D gaming, I\'ll play my PS2. Saturn quality 2D graphics and I\'m there.
If it does happen, what medium will they use? Memory stick? A little too expensive I would think. MDs would be WAY too easy to copy, so that\'s out.

Ken Kutaragi has been talking about MD\'s (MiniDisc\'s) .. I\'d like to see that :)

Minidisc...How about Mini DVD. MD and Mini DVD are the same size. Like CD and DVD. The obvious different are Mini DVD will hold more memory than Minidisc. Mini DVD was use on lunchbox...i mean gamecube.
Mini DVD is harder to copy I guess, that\'s why Gamecube use it. This disc can hold up to 1.5 Gigbytes of information.
Handheld using Mini DVD will be so awesome, with that huge extra space, programmer can add MPEG-2 video/audio just like a DVD movie or high quality audio voices.
Anyway, even if sony did make a handheld, I won\'t be playing it. I really aren\'t into handheld. I have better things to do than playing handheld (screen to small and stuff). I rather took those time watching tv, hang out with friends, or listen to music to past the time. Just isn\'t my thing. If i am really lonely and bored, i rather play console.

Me neither, I prefer playing games on a big screen. But the new GBA does look sweeeeet.

How many times do we need to get over this? It seems like everytime news gets slow or something, someone brings up Sony\'s mysterious handheld - that we have yet to even have the slightest actual fact about.
Even if Sony released a handheld at this moment, Nintendo is too far ahead of them on the handheld market. It would be futile this generation at least. Espically with Nintendo\'s new and improved GBA design.

The GBA is cack so when Sony release a handheld I\'d snap it up straight away. And in a old copy of OPS2M Ken Kutaragi says in a couple of years time Sony will dabble in the handheld market and this was in a 2001 issue.

It\'ll be interesting to see, if at all, Sony has what it takes to compete in the handheld department. it won\'t be easy taking down the Big N\'s pride and joy.

the new GBA look nice, but i really wonder how comfortable thats going to be on the hands, the machine is basically square and the buttons look kinda close together

The problem is I think SONY doesn\'t have enough household name kiddie franchise to push the gadget like Nintendo...Pokemon, Mario etc etc..
