im thinking about getting a console on ebay. should i get it there ot in a store

well that depends how much you trust anonymous sellers, personally I have not been so lucky.

i think ebay is great. i bought nearly my entire sega saturn collection there and plan to sell it there as well. Just pay attention to user feedback and ratings and you\'ll do fine.

Let\'s see here.
Ebay.com is great for certain things. Rare items, import items and other things. However, do you honestly want to buy your console on Ebay, when you can just go to your local Wal-Mart and buy a new console with a warranty for the same price or maybe just a tad more? I personally would prefer the instant gradifcation and the warranty you\'ll get when you buy it new.
Don\'t get me wrong, I don\'t dislike Ebay and I do quite abit of shoppin\' on it. Like Ryu, I also bought my entire import Sega collection there and quite a few rare items (some VCD\'s /DVD\'s etc). I just wouldn\'t use it for something I could go to Wal-Mart and get.

How much cheaper is it on eBay? Spencer, your best bet is to shop around a bit before you decide. Also, you have to analize your trust in people online. I personally would rather buy my consoles at a game store. I don\'t particularly trust buying consoles on eBay, unless its rare.

I got my xbox on ebay for 129 dollars shipped, it works nicely. So i would just say be sure it\'s someone with good feedback.
