Title: How many times have you returned a game because you didn\'t like it or beat it quick?
Post by: theomen on January 12, 2003, 01:26:54 PM
I was thinking the other day that I\'ve done this quite a bit.  I returned Smackdown 3 because of the save glitch, I returned star wars starfighter because I hated it, and I don\'t remember what game it was, but I one returned a game because I beat it in one day.

I\'ve done that once or twice.

Normally I just keep \'em, except nowadays my parents don\'t pay for them, so it\'s a bigger waste of money. :(

Never. I always keep my games no matter how bad they are.

I don\'t think I have ever returned a game I bought. That\'s because I only buy good games, there\'s not one Army Men game in my collection. ;)

ooo..im a dork,lol..i was talking about renting not realizing it was about actually buying. Most of my games iv bought take a while to beat, like gta3 and vice city, madden, socom, grand turismo. only game iv bought that i beat quickly was ace combat 4 but i still like to replay the missions on harder difficulties. Im about to sell madden 2001 and nba live 2001 whenever i have the time to go to a local store that buys games.

Probably never.  I didn\'t know you can returned something that\'s already opened.  Otherwise, I would return some of the sucky games I have.

Paul2, you have to buy from EB, or Gamestop affiliates.  They give you between 7-14 days to try the game and return it for store credit if you don\'t like it.

I know, I am dumb.  Probably from now on, I will start to return a game if I don\'t like it instead of keeping it.  Do they allow you to return games from Frys, Target, Circuit City, etc if it\'s open.  Sorry, I never try it.

At least 10 times. I usually have the money for a game every week, and sometimes buy one. I buy it keep all the wrapping and stuff, then return it when i beat it, or dont like it.

They know me by name at the stores as :return kid. :D

I dont have a lot of money to spend on gaming so when i make a game purchase i make my self absolutley sure that it is a good game... this usually means waiting a couple of weeks after its been released but its worth it.

I keep my games. Never have the heart to sell them or anything. I\'m gonna start collecting games with spare money I have. Video games are good investments. I mean, the most unlikely games are worth something. Intelligent Cube and some gay game that was released with PSX are worth a bit now.

I returned Jet Force Gemini for the N64 after owning it for only 4 hours... the first hour was so horribly boring that I decided to get my money back fast.

Probably twice. I know I returned a game to EB when the Saturn was still getting new games, but I can\'t remember what it was. I aslo returned a crappy racing game I bought at Best Buy. They let me exchange it for a different title even though it was opened, but only because the one I bought was the last copy, and I didn\'t make a deal about whether or not it was defective.

I recieve more games for free and buy so many that trading is my only option with such a small budget.  I am a faithful supporter of the EB 14-day return policy which I use as frequently as possible with almost every game.

Well I just made use of Software Etc\'s return policy.  Being broke or close to it, I didn\'t have the money to waste and keep Shenmue II (which I beat in 3 days), so I traded it in and have a game which should take more than 3 days..... Morrowind!  When I first went to Software Etc this was the game that I wanted but they were fresh out, so I picked up Shenmue, so it looks like I lucked out as this was their last copy and it was used so I got some gamebucks back as well.  This little bitch should take around 200 hours, so all I can say is woohoo.

I try not to buy bad games, otherwise, I use the EB 14 day policy.

I really never have returned a game back in one day. I am always really careful of what I buy. I usually make sure the game is going to be good by renting it or asking one of my friends.
