are they every going to make a phone type thing that you can talk to players that your playing like the xbox this but for ps2

Socom:US Navy seals comes with one which is very helpful since its a tactical game. Id like for ps2 to make one like xbox has, but some people on madden i dont wanna deal with cuz i could tell all theyd do is bitch the whole game.

i read in a magazine that  they will comeout soon. and plug into the memcard slot

wouldnt be the memory card slot..would be in the usb port on the bottom left of the ps2. But i did hear they were gunna sell the headsets separatly now. dont know when though.

hey anyone know what this phone thing is about - like a link or anything because i dont see how it would work - i know how headsets work and the game has to support it or else theres no way it can do it from my understanding

Anyway to clear this all up..Socom is the only game that is out right now that supports the headset (aka."phone thingy")  Unless you want to pay a fee (i.e X-Box, yearly fee) that you will not be able to chat with random people in a game like madden...The headset is only for SOCOM..I am sure there is no reason for the devs at SOCOM to actually mass produce the headset to sell seperatly on the market, unless there are going to drop a sequel?

found this. but the $$$ is a huge turnoff. Glad i got mine with SOCOM.
