Title: Well, after 4 weeks I\'ve just been told my tv can\'t be repaired.....
Post by: Heat on January 13, 2003, 05:21:29 AM
..But they\'re giving me £500 store credit at Comet ( more than my tv cost in the first place ) So I went online and now I\'m getting the Sony KV24LS35, pure flat screen 24" Widescreen with Virtual Dolby. It\'s actually alot better than my Panasonic one. I\'m hoping I\'ll have it soon as I\'ve been using a 14" for the last month, sucks major ass.

LOL, not likely in my house. I went to my dads house just to play it and it was nothing more than a slight upgrade in my opinion, it WILL look good with Halo running on it though :D plus the Getaway, because that\'s designed for Widescreen you should see how bad it looks on a 14" portable.

Nice, but I will say that it would look even better if it was bigger like say about 8 to 12 inches bigger. Cool deal.

24" is fine for my room, the room is packed to bursting point with PC\'s, Hi Fi equiptment, Xbox, Ps2, GC, DVD player, Mini Disk player, CD player, Twin Tape Deck, AMP, Graphic and 4 speakers. I really couldn\'t fit a 28" in here, I measured it.

Bummer. I guess when I think big it\'s because I have an entire house to fill with goodies such as these. I will say though that the deal you are getting is a damn good one. ;)

Yeah, I nearly creamed myself when they said I had £500 store credit. I do have a 32" downstairs but that room is alot bigger than mine.

Just got a call from them, it\'s coming Friday, without a stand, so I ordered a £50 stand which is bad ass, that comes on Wednesday.

Yep, got my new HDD drive tomorrow becuase this one is wrecked ( on PC World Warrenty ) then Wednesday I got work and my stand comes, Thursday I\'m gonna sleep all day, then Friday the TV and Wrestling. Strange for so many things to go right, I\'m usually an unlucky sod.

24 inch Widescreen? Yikes. That is way to small for a widescreen TV. You\'ll go blind watchin that.

Yes, it was worth the wait, it is allot better then my old Widescreen.

No, I won\'t go blind. I\'ve had my widescreen for ages and I can still see, thanks for your comment though, I\'ll sleep easy now.

I have a 28" widescreen TV and when I was about to get it people said "that\'s too small, 4:3 viewing will be bad, yadda yadda yadda". Screw them - the TV looks huge in reality and it fits perfectly in my living room. I never watch 4:3 in that aspect; the TV stretches it or something - and it looks fine to me (and plenty big :)). So congrats Heat!

I wasn\'t even thinkin\' about the 4:3 view , as almost all widescreens have different means of stretching the image to fit it. I was thinkin\' on the line of 24 just being pretty damn small and what not....

It\'s nothing personal. Hell, I lived with a good ole\' 19 inch for quite sometime. I\'m just spoiled now.
