I am so F--kin pissed off right now...I wait since Christmas to finally go and purchase the game...My girl decided to go out and pick me up the game after a month of waiting to rent it at Hollywood video..We get home and i check out a little single player action, ya know so i can get a feel for the game...So i dedcided to give my skills a shot online..Before i go any further i guess i should tell you that i have a cable connection (Comcast), with the Go-net 10/100 Ethernet Adapter for PS2 (17.99 at Funcoland), i can play every other f--kin game on PS2 online..(i.e Socom, Madden, Tribes, and Hawk 4)....SO anyway i select my normal network config..And the f--ckin stupid ass goddamn game tells me i need to purchase that overf--kin priced 56k/Ethernet card that Sony sells just to play the game..This is F--kin Bulls--t....
Sony you better Come with something better then that other wise i X-box is lookin pretty sweet...Argghh This f--kin SUCKS...Anyone got a fix..
Oh yeah!
Note to Sony:I would have purchased your over priced f--kin 56k modem that i dont need cause i have broadband...If i could have found one in the store...

sounds like you had a miserable experience. I still think ATV2 is a solid game, the network stuff can get tricky but it\'s totally worth it

Your bitchin about HAVING to buy Sony\'s equipment?!?
....Here\'s a clue, you HAVE TO buy Microsofts "live" package too. So if you get an xboxen get ready to bitch some more.

No i would\'nt bitch about Live, cause you can find it in the stores...And if the case is that sony doesnt want to let to many 56kers on thier server and thats why the product is not on the shelves, well then do the same thing as Live and go BroadBand only and charge a yearly fee...I am 24 and i dont have to worry about my mommy paying for it for me...I have 2 reasons why i didnt buy Sonys product..
1. It is a 56k modem as well as a ethernet card..Sry but i do not need a 56k modem, so why pay for the modem at $49.99, Rather then pick-up a 3 party Ethernet for approx. $19.99...Sony suggestion: For All US Broadband owners maybe you might want to sell a broadband only adapter, i am sure your brains that you are paying in you marketing depart. can think of that..
2. ITS NOT IN ANY STORES..Sony only ships out a certain amount..Why? My guess is that the host servers that the have up are shit..
In conclusion, Sony u suck, your support sucks, and quite frankly the game isnt all that.. either..

I haven\'t had any trouble with atv........ I think it\'s a pretty badass game overall..... and the online play has been rad everytime I\'ve used it...........

i think the atv2 affroad is pretty cool.so far i havent had a problem with it except the losing problem im not to good at that hey have anyone heard of a atv league
