I just got an e-mail saying that I wil get the new N-gage, handheld gaming device/phone/mp3 player ( in 3 weeks). Up on which you can play online (grps or bluetooth)
It is fairly safe that supermonky ball is beeing ported to this device. weehaaa

anyways i\'ll be waiting for that review.
one thing tho could you comment on the phones size, is it big like as in the size of the GBA, or is it the same as the 7650.
:)
-
I am quite sure, from what hear, it will weigh less then 7650.
But this is still an early prototype, since its atleast 6 month until it will ship, al least. But by next X-mass I will be out for sure !

It\'s a bound failure.
Oh well. Too bad.

What makes you say that? We discussed this a little bit over at GT. I think if done properly, it has serious potential.
-
Is there a link that would tell more about this gizmo in english?
-
Serious potenial in the handheld market? With Nintendo\'s large hand on the market? Not to mention all the failures in the handheld market? History repeats itself.

Remember, its not just in the handheld market, but also the cellular phone market.
You can\'t underestimate the effects of "coolness" with teenagers and their toys. Then again, perhaps my mistake is overestimating it. Like I said, if done properly, it has potential. It will probably just be half baked, so I doubt it\'s success will come into fruition.

It doesnt even look like a phone. I was trying to figure out how you whould talk on that thing.

I\'m feeling mighty nice today so I\'ll attempt to translate the text to the best of my abilities.
Forget "Snake" and simple SMS-games. [...] It will get lots of games from Japanese Sega. [...]
Just when many cellphones get Java capabilties and \'downloadable\' games Nokia goes a step further. The cellphone N-gage is going to be filled with advanced games that come on (didn\'t understand the word - something about a card -Sammy). ...games with high quality graphics and sound in both 2D and 3D games.
N-gage owners can play against each other up to 10 meters distance with a wireless Bluetooth network, or log on to servers with GPRS. The phone also includes radio and MP3 player.
A working N-gage will be showed for the first time in Feb. together with the first title from Sega. (something about more projects with unnamed companies going on).
[...] Java games will be more widespread because they work in many different phones, but they are limited in (something I didn\'t understand -Sammy). [The card type the N-gage games are coming on] contains more advanced games, says Johan Eidhagen.
At present there are no details about the techical specs or capacity of [the card thingy] but the \'gaming phone\' is based on Nokia\'s technical platform 60 with an OS from Symbian, which will be specifically designed for gaming.
N-gage will be in shops 2003. The price is unknown.
Phew... well there you have it. Hope you enjoy. :)

we wub you sammy ;)
anyways, I think if marketed properly it could be a success. anyone have the specs on the power of this thing?
