Title: Finally a judge with some sense.... Mcdonalds not to blame.

The fat kids don\'t get their millions of dollars because they got fat.

“IF CONSUMERS know (or reasonably should know) the potential ill health effects of eating at McDonald’s, they cannot blame McDonald’s if they, nonetheless, choose to satiate their appetite with a surfeit of supersized McDonald’s products,”

“If a person knows or should know that eating copious orders of supersized McDonald’s products is unhealthy and may result in weight gain ... it is not the place of the law to protect them from their own excesses,” the judge said. “Nobody is forced to eat at McDonald’s.”

It’s about time we see a glimpse of common sense in the judicial system today. To many people suing too many companies for too many stupid reasons.

Not all fat people have the ability to control their obesity. There are instances where ones biological chemicals can be thrown off to creat an obese state. It\'s the stupidity of those that think they can sue for such a thing that\'s the real kicker.

If those people are eating at McDonalds, they certainly aren\'t helping their cause.

:)

Whatever do you mean? Are you trying to tell me that McDonalds doesn’t have any food that may aid in weight loss? Come on man! What about the McSalad? Or the Free water? Those certainly can’t be all that bad for ya.;)

It\'s about time, too.

If a person can get millions from a microwave-company by sticking a cat into the microwave, being in full acknowledgement of the consequences, the justice-system is deeply flawed and very questionable.

Why not use some common sense?

This judge made a difference, and \'thus earns my applauds.

Ridiculous :o   Ppl can check McDonald\'s food calories index online.
There you can see that it\'s absolutely saturated with calories. If
ppl eat lots of it, they\'re bound to get fat. It was their own fault getting obese in the first place.

Anyone that smokes, or eats and gets fat, its common sense that you\'ll get emphasema, lung cancer (for smokers) and fat from a fast food restaurant. Those people thought they could get millions from thir misfortunes. They are just like the people that sue when a relative dies.

I\'m glad they lost, because could you imagine the lawsuits that would flood the system if those fatties waddled out of the courtroom with the cash?

I\'d be forced to sue something too.  I don\'t know what, but something.

How about Nintendo for making me lazy and stealing so many hours of my life with their video games?

Or maybe Dell for the risk of carpal tunnel from keyboards.

Thank God there\'s still a little respectability in our systems.

Waah, I\'m fat. Give me an absurd amount of money to compensate for my stupidity.

Finally, the court system does something intelligent. The commonse sense meteor seems to getting closer. ;)
