i dont fully understand spoiler tags yet, and i looked through the newbie faqs and couldnt find it so ill just warn people not to read since this thread might turn into what happened in the movie.
anyway, i rented this movie cuz i never got to see it in the theater and all i have to say is holy ****. Some of the most sweet concepts iv ever seen in a movie. With just the overall quiet movie with how the characters talk is fricken eerie.
plus when the one alien is locked in the guys house and mel gibson is talking to it, u can see the shadow pace back and forth, then the first word gibson says the shadow stays still.
just the overall suspence of the movie is amazing. and the end........*AGAIN, DONT READ IF U HAVNT SEEN IT*
the alien just had a couple fingers cut off from the part i just talked about above, and he was one of the wounded left behind. amazing how stuff from the beginning of the movie was part of the end.(like the water). awesome movie and awesome directing. since it was a 2002 movie, its definitly number 1 on my 2002 list of movies.

I agree. It definitely had a lot of good stuff in it. I thought the ending was just a little bit too perfect, but meh, it was fine for what it was. I love how it tells the story from a small town perspective of this global event rather then showing the ships and the massive land battles and what not. It left enough for the imagination to make it that much better.

Agreed, Signs was a wonderful film with an original concept. I loved it all the way through - yet the ending wasn\'t as nice as I had hoped. It didn\'t ruin the overall experience, although I would have preferred the ending to not reveal the extra terrestrial being.

I thought that this was one of the best movies for 2002. I loved it more than Unbreakable though that was another great movie by the same director. The Sixth Sense is another great movie. I sat at the edge of my seat for the last two-thirds of the movie. The corn field scene when the alien leg walked back into the field was one of the coolest scenes I have seen in a long time

I saw the film in theatres and in the comfort of my own home, both times it was a wonderful experience. The well written script was played out well by both the actors and the director.

I liked the end. It\'s just a movie. Having everything end up perfect was fine by me. Very well done. Night does a wonderful job directing. I haven\'t seen unbreakable, but I heard it wasn\'t that great.

I thought the first half was decent and I thought the second half was just complete trash. Than again , I am not a fan of any of Mr. M\'s fans (hated Sixth Sense and Unbreakable) so I wasn\'t expecting to enjoy this.

This is M.N.S\'s best movie, i did not like Sixth-sense cause of the ending, and i wasn\'t too thrilled with unbreakable[boring].
-
I loved the Sixth Sense - the ending caught me red-handed - yet Unbreakable was just plain boring.

That was the only thing wrong with the movie.
I actually cringed when I saw Mel Gibson putting on his habit.
(Yes, I know it\'s not a habit :p).
But then again, I don\'t suppose it could have ended any other way.
I loved this movie because it scared me, but on a whole other level.

just the things the director did, like at the end u can see the outline of the alien in the reflection of the tv just standing there, then the reactions of the people. but i do agree that water was kinda weak but it proved the point of if theres coincidences or if it was meant to be.

It was my favorite movie of 2002, behind LOTRTT. Great writing, directing and acting. Amazing in all aspects. I was so glad that somone could actually make a horror movie, without the use of gallons of blood, ala Hitchcock.
My favorite part of the movie was the video from Mexico City, disturbed the f*ck out of me.

Scariest part in the movie.
