Title: Gamer advisory panel
Post by: guar on January 25, 2003, 01:58:32 PM
Just opened the mail and there was an invitation to join the Gamer Advisory Panel. Just wondering if anyone else has received this. Apparently it\'s from Playstation Underground.

Did it come with any explanation as to what they do?

It says that over the next few months they want us to share knowledge, expertise and insite on different occasions through discussion groups, members- only message boards and exclusive questionnaires. Our thoughts and ideas will help shape the future of gaming (They are in trouble now :D ) They also said to be expecting gifts in the mail for participating ( they didn\'t clarify what the gifts are though) Hope they are something useful.

I just receive in the mail today, but I email them that I didn\'t want to join.  They say the thing will end Jan. 31.  I am not sure if I did the correct thing by refusing to join.  I think we as a human being should focus more on other things than gaming.  There are better things for us to do than videogames, you know.  Too much videogames is bad for our health.  People should go out and get so sunlight and have a good walk for exercise.  Listening to music or watching dvd movies via ps2 can be good too.
Once people get too addicted to videogames, they won\'t stop playing and stuff...Americans should limit how much time they play.  Just my opinion.  I kinda lost interest in videogame as I get older.

I just got this thing in the mail, but the damn URL to register doesn\'t work.

EDIT: URL works now...but I can\'t remember my damn password.  Can\'t get it because I recently deleted that email address due to me getting 100+ spam emails a day.  And it won\'t let me create a new one and use the PSU# I got in the mail.  Argh!

nataku, if you received it in snail-mail the psu # and pin number are above your name on the front of the envelope. Hope this helps. There is also a toll free number (1-877-267-2990), maybe they can help if the number is not automated. Good luck.

Hey Paul2, I can agree with what you hold as your own opinion but I must say that with it being winter time here in Michigan, the only thing I have to do other than look at my Z28 sitting in the garage is go and play paintball with my buddies. I am addicted to gaming, but it mostly overtakes me in the winter. In the summer I have plenty of things to do that involve the great outdoors. What kind of hobbies do you suggest for us in the winter months other than videogames?

I agree with project86. Videogames are a good form of entertainment, especially during winter. I just came in from shoveling snow and intend to warm up infront of a good game.
I also enjoy reading and music but explain to me how watching dvds is any different than playing games.People can get hooked on many things, IMHO it\'s up to them how much time they want to put into them. By the way the sun has only been out maybe three days in the past three weeks here and I do get out in it
when it\'s out. I want summer back.  :crap:

I agree with you 100%. Sometimes there just isn\'t something else that beats chillin in front of your tv killing innocent civilians with your newly stolen sports car. But, I recently started working out, since I stopped playing football i\'ve lost some of my strength and muscle I used to have :(
