Title: Questions about PC customization
Post by: nataku on January 27, 2003, 07:46:17 PM
I want to change the icons on my PC to something that look better, but I\'m not sure how to do it, or what program to use.  I don\'t care about changing everything... just some of the default system icons.  What program should I use?

I downloaded Desktop Architect a few days ago but it seems to have only messed up my PC.  Just tonight I couldn\'t open up My Computer or Windows Explorer and get it to display my files.  Everything was still there, I could access it through the Run menu, but Windows Explorer and whatnot would freeze forcing me to End Task it.

I changed my icons back to default and uninstalled DA and now I\'m looking for something better to use.  Since I uninstalled everything has gone back to normal on my PC.

Another thing... should I put the icons I\'m going to use on the partition with my OS, or does it matter?  With DA I had my icons on the other partition.  I would think it wouldn\'t matter, but Windows is screwy, so I wouldn\'t be suprised if I had to have them on the same partition.
