Wow. Simple concept. Great freaking game. Graphics are decent, actually quite nice for its time.
Looks sweet on PS2. :p

FF tactics are released on PS2?Where have I been?
-
No, it\'s the PSX version. But it looks a little better on PS2. That\'s why the subject heading says "Final Fantasy Tactics revisited". Soon, I\'ll play Warhawk and if I can find a copy, Colony Wars.
-
Woot, Warhawk. That one\'s great.
I still don\'t know why they didn\'t make a sequel.
Is FFT hard Gman? I rented it around when it was new and I remember it being extremely difficult.
-
Sorta difficult at first. Best thing to do is attack in two\'s. One behind the other coz if you person is attacked from behind, the hit points are greater. In turn, you should attack them from their flank or rear. Takes some tactical maneuvering to win some stages.

One thing that struck me when I tried it for a few hours last year is the graphics were good enough that being improved a great deal wouldn\'t add much to the game itself. All those tiny peeps on screen at once looked plenty good and is the main reason I put it in the to-be-played-later-pile of games instead of getting anymore into it right away. Kind of forgot about it until reading this post. The gameplay was right up my ally so I\'m sure pick it up again one of these days.
Question- was it important to keep good track of the story line or can you just play without paying too much attention to all the whose-who and other details?
-
I thought the game was hard when I first played it. I hated that stage where those stupid archers are up so freakin high and it takes me forever to walk up to them and by the time I\'m up more than half of my HP is gone....
-
Yes, it\'s a pretty good game. I haven\'t load it into my PS2 before though. I\'ve already completed the game TWICE on the PSX. In fact, come to think of it, I won\'t mind playing it a third time. It\'s that good!
But I\'ll probably try to load it with the ePSX emulator...it does wonder with the graphics. You guys should try R-type Delta on the e-PSX...gorgeous hi-res and minimal slowdown!!

Man, I played to build up my characters\' stats that I forgot about the story. And Ramza has a monkey butt!

I play this game about every other day. I always lose, and dear god I\'m about 30 minutes into the game... I suck.. :(
Its pretty fun. Even though I dont give diddly squat about their half-arsed complicated story.
-
I have the game. I played it like three or four times already. Very good game. Story is a little confusion though. Great music too. So, how does FFT revisited work on ps2? Do you need a hard-drive or something?

 I was also worried that if I had to take long breaks before finishing (hey, it\'s been known to happen) I might end up being confused as to what I should do next when I came back.

PSX memory card. You realize that the PS2 is backwards compatible, correct?

Okay, I know ps2 is backward compatible with psx. What sort of enhancement can they add to a psx1 memory card. Graphic? Longer game? and how?
-
It doesn\'t add any enhancement to the memory card. Just a slight graphical improvement to the game.
