Juneau is actually 3 parts, Douglas, Auke bay, and Juneau. Douglas is conected by a bridge. Since its on the other side of the channel. And Auke Bay is on the opposite side of Juneau in a way. Its all really just called "juneau" as a whole.

Not really a picture of our town. But actually Carlos Boozer. He went to our highschool, and in a way is "Juneaus little hereo". For those of who dont know, he plays for Duke. And apparently is really good. I have one of his shoes signed here, waiting until he goes pro to sell it on eBay.

We are just about smack dab in the middle of one of the biggest national forests in the world I believe. Its Tongass. And it is simply gorgeous. This photo does not do it justice.

If any of you come to Juneau, be sure to enjoy it, its well worth it.

Post your towns; limit to about 4 pictures. And put a breif explination. This could be interesting.

My town, Revere Massachusetts, is not much to look at now but we had the first public beach and it was really cool in it\'s heyday. It had some great amusements and a very cool roller coaster.

Unfortunately the city planners a long time ago though it it would be more appropriate to have the beach turned into oceanside condominiums. Now it looks like a prison complex.

Here\'s a painting of the roller coaster. I\'ll try and get some current shots.

Our biggest attractions are probably these buildings.
Kalmar Slott/Kalmar Castle, first built in 1100.

Kalmar Domkyrka/ Kalmar Cathedral, construction started 1660 and it was completed first 1700.

From 1389 to 1522 Kalmar was the “capital” of Kalmar Union/Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway)

Today, Kalmar is a dead unimportant city ;)

Samwise: Very nice, I like old cities (ours are about equally old, ofcourse not much of the constructions from 1100-1200 exist anymore). I’ve been to Köpenhamn/København/Copenhagen lots of times.

Yep I think its modelled after King Ludwig\'s castle (Neuschwanstein Castle).. He was a bit of a wacko and wasted all his money on building magical looking castles..

He died under mysterious circumstances after he had been thrown of the throne.

The old Buffalo Psychiactric Center scary as hell. Those towers are now abandoned and are next to Buff state college and the new center. This is 1/2 a block from my GF\'s house... look out her window and there it is, all lit up at night.

First off i live by the YWCA and i have a perfect view of downtown. Also i live about 15 minutes away from Lowes theater, target and ross. The projects are right across the street. Then theres this crack house were this old lady sells fire works and MJ. Its pretty plain, there was a pretty little piece of land were we used to play football all the time but the took them down to build the damn projects, god ever since they were built theres a cop car outside every nite. Well i know pics are better but i just felt like typing.
