Because of so many faults, and all that jazz. California is slowly detaching from the lower 48\'s, and eventually will crash into Alaska.

Thanks, I agree. I don\'t know why everyone seems to have such a hate-on for California. The problem isn\'t the state itself, its the MORONS running this state who pretty much are trying to destroy it financially and making it nearly impossible to live here when it comes to money. We have a 34 billion dollar state budget deficit (GREATER then the other states budget COMBINED), some of the highest taxes in the nation that is litterally driving business and people OUT of state (taking their money [making the budget even worse] as well as jobs and skills with them), and they want to raise it even more?

And the funny thing is, we are SURROUNDED by states that DO NOT have a certain tax (Nevada has no income tax, Oregon has no sales tax). So, California sucks? Physically, nope. Financially, affordablity, yes.

every year we get a PFD, basicaly a check for , say about 2000-3000 dollars because Alaska is so rich, and we have money to spare.

Also, we dont have to pay tax downsouth.

The downside is you have to pay big shipping, and it can get cold everyonce and a while.

At the moment, I\'m in college (college in California, but in college nonetheless). So, at the moment, getting an education and a degree are my first priority.

Also, nearly my entire family live in California. If I ever decide to move out of state, I would also be moving away from my family. I\'d probably compromise and move to Nevada if Republicans (conservative Republicans) can\'t win back this state.
