Title: Give me your remedies for a cold!
Post by: SwifDi on February 11, 2003, 05:08:00 PM
Valentines day is coming up and I\'ve got a wicked sore throat / cough. I think its at its "peak" point and now I\'m in the process of just getting rid of it.

Just post what you would take or things you do for my situation, and I\'ll try it (as long as its reasonable! Omen, hot man jizz is not reasonable!). Whatever works, that person will get a special prize.

hot man jizz

Its not coming from Omen, so its reasonable from me. After all, I\'m such a great guy and all, hell I\'ll give some you some of mine.

Just rest, and tea seems to help and stuff.

TheraFlu, over the counter crap at the grocery store, gets rid of EVERYTHING for me. Sore throat, cold, cough, fever, aches... Just take it every 4 hours, get some rest and you\'ll be good to go.

Add boiling water
put in 5 or 6 tea spoons of honey
Don\'t put in sugar or milk.

Honey is the key to overcome all colds.

P.S:I\'m not talking about the Mariah Carey videoclip.  :facelick:

TheraFlu is my drug of choice during those sick days!  If you have a sore throat, get some chamomille tea and add honey into it.  Also chicken soup might help.

A different question though. How do i stop this stomach acid? It doesn\'t really burn, but i can feel it in my chest and lower neck. Anyone have any info on what that is?

I think it\'s called acid reflux, and there are things you can buy to supress/ aleviate it.  I\'d list what those products are but I don\'t know.

Hmm...if it continues i might have to get some stuff.

I first felt it last night and it was a little worse than it is tonight. I only feel it around this time of night though, dunno if thats normal for acid reflux or not though. So yeah, if its not gone in 2 or 3 days, i\'ll go pick up some medicine.

Yes, TheraFlu works surprising well.... Especially if you have a fever. All I do is take it as directed, stay in my room, pile blankets on myself and sweat it all out...
