The trials were a big success, offering up to 2mb per second - twice as fast as most broadband services on offer in the UK - for the price of £25.

Spain had also that type of connection for a while and it sucked. I didn\'t check it but people said it was the biggest sh¡t in the world.

plus there would be the potential incompatability with the PS2 BBA :(

I saw a tv programme on this a couple of years ago, some guy\'s house had been kitted out with it. This is the first I have heard of it being made available to the general public since then.

Saw something in PC World this month about it comin\' to the USA within the next few months. They are hoping to target places in rural area\'s where there is no other broadband options . Hopefully, the rural area I live in is one of those that is goin\' to be targeted. I could care less about upload speed, I just want download speed.

They have been experimenting over here for several years..

They offer 2mbit here too.. But I remember reading somewhere it can go up to 10Mbit.

You can only live a short distance from the "power house" (whatever its called.. Small concrete house with a steel door with generators and shit inside) though.

If that is the case (living a certain distance from the power generators), than this will do NOTHING for expanding broadband into rural area\'s.  

I, myself, have grown so very tired of using a 56k connection. Waiting for downloads . Ugh...
