Hey guys. Its getting closer. Juslight and I were talking about it all friggin night yesterday. Everyone post any links or pictures here so we can keep up with it before the big arrival. If you know anything cool about it. POST IT!
What kind of creature is everyone going to be?

Why would it ba lame? I have seen nothing yet to prove to me anything other then that its going to rock! Ive seen hundredes of pics, Read doesens of posts from current players of the game, and watched the streamin "In world" camera. It looks awesome in every aspect.

I used to think that I was going to skip this game as well, but after playing Everquest Online Adventures I realized how interesting the whole MMORPG thing was. I am new to online RPG\'s and this one looks great.

Any questions about the game, feel free to ask.. I\'ve been playin it for a while now =) I play at least 2 hours a day, and on weekends I play pretty much when I wake up until I get tired.. What\'s that? I don\'t have a life? .....:evil:
Anyhoo, it\'s hella addicting.. I don\'t even know why.. There\'s times I\'ve gotten really pissed at the game, but yet I find myself going back and finding something else to do..

It looks and sounds like a pretty damn good game. It\'s got a story you go through, which is rare for a MMORPG. Plus the job system is awesome. Now I won\'t have to create 12 different characters to try out every class. The conquest system sounds good, too.

To each his own I guess.
Anyway... . I\'ll be picking it up when it gets here. If anyone else does hopefully we can play sometime.

I personally can\'t wait to play FFXI. Everything about it just seems so right, I think it\'s gonna be an incredible experience. $9.99 a month looks like it\'ll be a bargain.
I\'m not sure anymore on what class I will specialize in (especially now that summoners, ninjas, and dragoons may -- or have already been confirmed to -- make it into the game through the Ziraat expansion). I\'ll be a Tarutaru for sure, though.

Perspnally I dont see anything special.I see it as as an effortless attempt from Square to compete other online RPG\'s.Particularly PSO.

Effortless?!??! How can you call it that? If you dont like online gameing fine, just say it, but you cannot rag on this game. When everquest came out for beta, there were bunches of people talking about it, and that wasnt even very good. Juslight and I spent probably an hour just sitting in front of his computer screen last night watching the moving video camera that travles through the world. It looks absolutely amazing. I just dont see how anyone can say anything bad about this game.

I have it, I play it everyday, I love it, end of story. Yeah, there\'s probably going to be people who won\'t like it, there\'s probably going to be people who hate it, and there\'s going to be people like me who actually like it.
Yeah, there\'s always two ways to look at things.. Look forward to it and be completely disappointed, or think not too highly of it and be surprised.
I mean, I have my doubts too as to how well it\'ll do here in the States and stuff, especially with so many other MMORPGs that are already out there, it\'s a tough crowd to compete against and stuff, but hey, who knows. It\'s doing good in Japan, and it\'s finally starting to make profits for Square.
And online games, I think it takes a long time for it to really sink into the gaming community anyways. Like look at CounterStrike and StarCraft. Those games have been out for ages, yet some people hadn\'t known about them or played them until recently. Same goes with EverQuest. It\'s ages old, yet some people only recently started playing it. I\'d give it more than 6 months... I\'d say.... if square does give up, and FFXI is taken out of the states, and the company goes bankrupt or something, then give me the "i told you so" statement, and I\'ll bow down and never argue against you :laughing:

Why compare FFXI with PSO, Unicron? The two are nothing alike.
And the game is hardly effortless. Square is doing a lot of interesting things with this game. The job system alone is a huge stray from todays MMORPGs.
