How in the hell is he only being charged with a misdemeanor?  This is sick

Man Allegedly Kills Ferret On Plane

CLAYTON, Mo. -- Authorities allege a man beat his pet ferret to death after he was told he couldn\'t take it on an airplane.

Stefan Albrecht of Yonkers, N.Y. is charged in St. Louis with misdemeanor animal abuse.

Authorities say Albrecht smuggled the small weasel-like animal on to an American Airlines flight from New York to St. Louis earlier this month in a carryon cooler.

When flight attendants realized he had the animal, they told him he couldn\'t take it on to his connecting flight to Phoenix. The airline says it offered to take the animal to the Humane Society.

But when the plane landed for a layover in St. Louis, authorities say, Albrecht allegedly took the ferret to an airport restroom, broke its neck and flushed it down a toilet. He then told airline workers what he had done.

I mean it\'s not like it\'s a cat.  That I could understand.

Not that I condone this mans actions but aren’t ferrets the animals that smell like piss all the time? I have never owned one but I have heard from numerous people that they are not very clean animals.

they also can quite satisfied eating cat food

I just couldn\'t imagine ringing an animals neck much less killing it just for a flight.  Ugh.  

Ferrets are pretty smelly, but I think when you take their sex organs out they are a lot cleaner.  My neghibor has one and they are pretty cool.  

In college I was hanging out in the living room watching tv and a ferret ran right in my door.

That one smelled awful though.  I locked him up in my bathroom and the next day found the owner.  He left a note on the mailbox.

My brother has 2 ferrets... They\'re great... :D

But I dont really think this is such a big deal. Animal abuser\'s go all over, I dont see how this is any different. Still is just as disturbing as ever.

A while ago a man ran over his dog, when it bit his girlfriend.
3 times he ran over it. Then he threw it in the neighbors yard.
The neighbors called the police, and he denied it all.

What this guy did was awful but PETA is a disgrace to civilization, as we know it. I had the opportunity to talk one on one with a PETA supporter. I asked her if there was a two-year-old child and a cat in the middle of the road and a truck was heading their way whom would she save. She said she would save the cat. I asked why and her response was because the child should have known better. They are pathetic excuses for humans if they cannot respect human life itself.:mad:
