Well it should work. My PS2 was starting to have plenty of trouble. I merely opened it up and cleaned it, and voila! It worked.

You\'d be surprised how much dust there is in it.

I went to buy a laser lens cleaner...but the PS2 couldn\'t read the disc...:rolleyes: Pretty lame. I guess it didn\'t recognize the format of the CD so it couldn\'t read the track with the cleaner head on it.

I think I\'ll try cleaning the lens myself since my stupid warranty expired ages ago. Anyway, good luck with fixing your PS2.

so I took it to a sony reparation shop.
after complaining like a bastard on a poor girl, she called a japanese guy who came and cleaned up the lens with a special liquid...
he actually told me how to make that liquid out of alcohol and something else I dont remember...

that didnt solve the problem since the lens problem the first psx\'s had was about calibration.

I hope I\'m not gonna have the same trouble with the ps2.
