I found out about a half hour ago at one of my lax games that my friend died today of leukemia. What sucks is that I haven\'t talked to him since 8th grade. Since he got leukemia, I haven\'t been able to talk to him. When I did see him when he came back to school, I said \'hey\' in the halls but that was it. I wasn\'t very close friends with him but was still a friend. I played with him in 5th and 6th grade. I was in my middle school jazz band with him (he played cow bell) and he was a very funny guy. God I\'m gonna miss him :( He was my age. So young. Didn\'t experience anything. This is truely a sad day :crying:

I\'m really sorry to hear that man. I wish the best to you and anyone else who is mourning his death.
-
That sucks to hear, even when it\'s someone you\'re not all to familiar with.
-
I can only send my thoughts and prayers.

:( A friend of mine got Leukemia. It was like a complete total surprise. We used to play WarCraft II in modem to modem. He was the one who convinced me to buy the game. One day he just stopped going to school and then we found out what happend. No ever really heard from him again. :( Maybe he just went to a different school.

My condolences.

I know how it feels man. I had a group of friends in the 5th grade.. We were going to swim in a pond after school, but I ended not being able to go, so everyone else went. Later in the night, I got a phone call saying one of \'em drowned... :(
My condolences.

That\'s really sad, when I was about 11 someone from school died suddenly from meningitis. It is always shocking when something like this happens.:(
-
It\'s always hits you hard when you hear of a friend that had died, it happend to me 2 years but my friend died of a Heart Attack....he was only 29 :(
My condolences buddy :(

I\'m sorry mate. It\'s always sad to hear things like that.
Rest in peace-.
-
Sorry to hear that. May he rest in peace.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I fell for the parents in situations like this. A parent should never have to outlive their children. It has got to be tough on them to see him go.
-
My condolences, titan...just think, now he\'s rockin that cowbell with jimi hendrix and john lennon.
-
Thanks for all your support. He died yesterday morning I believe, when they announced it today, everyone was shocked. I should have visited him at the hospital when I first heard about it but I couldn\'t find out what hospital he was at. Then I heard he came home so I assumed he was alright. I should have called him. Then he went back. A couple weeks ago, they found a perfect bone marrow match. They gave it to him and he was recovering. Then he took a turn for the worst and died.

Titan, my deepest condolences to you, your friend\'s family, and all those who knew him.

The wake is tomorrow and I assume the funeral is on friday. I\'m going to both. My friend and I decided a few minutes ago to go to the wake together. We\'ll probably go after lax practice but I probably won\'t go to practice because I have a test or two on friday and need to study. Man, this has truely been a shitty week. Thanks everyone for your support.

My exgirlfriends brother died of Leukimia at about 25. Dude it sucked. They didn\'t catch it early either so he died fairly quickly after he was diagnosed.
That\'s why you should always charish the moments you have with your friends because you never know when they will leave.
BTW, do you think they will ever be able to replace him at cowbell?
You are going to the wake? If the family had a sense of humor you could bring a bunch of cowbells and pass them around. That would rock. I\'d want that if it were my wake. Although when I die I\'m getting burnt up right away. I don\'t want people looking at me.
-
He played cowbell two years ago in my middle school jazz band. He always had a lot of fun playing them. He\'d dance around and everything. At a competition, we actually got in trouble for him dancing around but it was funny.
Yes, I am going to the wake with a friend tomorrow. I\'m sacrificing my church practice for trumpet to go. I want to pay my respects to the family. I\'ve got to find out when his funeral is. I believe its friday. I have the email and just have to check.

My condolences Titan...
I know how it is to lose a friend. One of mine died about 2 months ago... It really is hard thing, esp. since I havent seen him since 2nd grade.

Just a bit of history for all those who would like to know…
In England Back in the days when ale was served in lead goblets those that would drink the stuff would pass out from the toxins formed by mixing the ale with the lead. At some times they would stay passed out for two to three days at a time. When this would happen the relatives would find the body lying on the street and bring them home. They would place the body on the dining room table and continue on with their lives for the next couple of days. They would even eat dinner at the table on which the body lay. Thus calling this practice, the “wake”.
My condolences to you Titan. God rest his soul.

That\'s interesting Project. I never knew where that began. I always thought it was kind of creepy. I\'ve been to a couple with my wife and her family, but no one in my family has died in 20+ years so I\'ve never had to deal with death on my side.
-
I dont like being at wakes for too long. It begins to creep me out. I probably am going to stay though for a while tomorrow night though. A bunch of my friends are going tomorrow night and we probably will end up running into eachother.
-
I just got back from the wake. It was depressing. They had a slideshow of him with pictures of him.
-
My condolences mate.
