Title: Baseball season coming up...
Post by: theomen on March 04, 2003, 12:19:04 AM: So who are all you guys supporting, and what do you think your chances are?

Me, I\'m for my bay area two headed monster. The A\'s have a damn good shot, with three great pitchers and a terrific offense. The only thing in their way is the pocket book of the Yankees.
On the other side of the Bay, my Giants are a real question mark, they lost some talent in Ortiz, Kent, and Lofton, but have replaced them with pretty good players. I have my fingers crossed that Jose Cruz will have a break out year, and become the player everyone thought he would become in Seattle.

I seriously think we might have a shot at doing something this year. I refuse to believe that Alomar is as bad as he played last year. Our pitching is better with Glavine and Stanton being added on. Floyd helps our OF a lot. The only thing I am worried about is 3b, where we lost Alfonzo and never really got a replacement. Now if Reyes is just ready this year, we\'ll really have something good going.

My Mom is a Biggio (Until she married my dad) Which means my Grandpa was a Biggio (god rest his soul), and his brother\'s Kid is Craigs Dad.... HOWS THAT! my dad was Heavy into genealogy (Family tree) stuff back in the mid 90\'s.

I like our chances with a Glavine, Stanton and Floyd, but last year I liked our chances when we got Burnitz, Cedeno, Alomar and the rest of the gang..So I won\'t get too excited till the season starts..even though we are on a 7 game winning streak in spring training, its only spring training though. we will see...
