SADDAM\'S SOLDIERS SURRENDER
Mar 9 2003
Mike Hamilton reports from Camp Coyote in Kuwait
TERRIFIED Iraqi soldiers have crossed the Kuwait border and tried to surrender to British forces - because they thought the war had already started.
The motley band of a dozen troops waved the white flag as British paratroopers tested their weapons during a routine exercise.
The stunned Paras from 16 Air Assault Brigade were forced to tell the Iraqis they were not firing at them, and ordered them back to their home country telling them it was too early to surrender.
The drama unfolded last Monday as the Para batallion tested mortars and artillery weapons to make sure they were working properly.
The Iraqis found a way across the fortified border, which is sealed off with barbed-wire fencing, watchtowers and huge trenches.

That\'s great!
I love the fact that they told them it\'s too early.

You think america wont? Even if Saddaam doesnt have anything up his sleeve once our ground troops are in, I dont even want to know how many more terrorists will be willing to hit us at home.
As for topic, that is the best thing I have read all week..lol
They fold faster than the french. :D

I find that hard to believe but I guess that\'s true. ;)

Hilarious
-
MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
-
I think the best part of it all is that the brits sent them back to Iraq. That is the best.
-
LOL! :D
Did they belong to Iraqs regular Army or Saddams elite force?
-
This is the army that will be sending our boys back in body bags? I think not!

disgraceful.
I think now I\'d like this war to go ahead, simply for its comedic value...
I mean, god... talk about free material.
-
They obviously don\'t like Saddam enough to risk their lives for him.

This is no military. We won\'t see a military until we hit the streets of Iraq. I have a feeling some of the large weapons are going to nail Baghdad. If you are a civilian living in Baghdad you are a fool to stay. That city will need to be leveled to prevent our forces from suffering mass casualties of a ground war.
-
The city won\'t be levelled you fool. For one thing, levelling a city to the ground is illegal. And Iraqi forces suck so much, they won\'t really do much in a street fight, not even that repulican guard or whatever.... Not that I support a war without UN approval.... its just that there\'s really no question about the tenacity of the US forces..
-
I\'m no fool. I was just using it as a figure of speach. Of course we aren\'t going to level baghdad. We aren\'t allowed to bomb anything that isn\'t a military objective. Although obviously they have all of their missle defense systems housed in the lobbies of schools and hospitals.
-
It would have been great if they told them to go back to the country but come back about two weeks later when the war begins :D I find that really funny. The officers were probably shot though.
-
We own.
-
Yep
-
Iraqi "soldier" : "hello? Hello? Please do not shoot! We surrender! Long live George Bush! Long live Tony Blair! Please! We throw down our weapons!"
*Iraqis start kissing the feet of the brits*
British Soldier: "Well, this is a sticky wicket, now isn\'t it... Begging your pardon, but you\'ll have to run along home now, old bean. The war\'s not started yet... sorry....there\'s a good chap."
