There is not screws anywhere. Do you pry it open and how?
-
the rubber feet on the bottom just pull off. Under those rubber feet are the screws.
-
Thank you never would have found them
-
Any ideas on how to get those small screws off the CD holder if you dont have a screw driver that small?
-
Get a knife thats "pointy" enough to fit..
Or does your mother only let you use butter knifes? ;)
-
If you can\'t figure out how to get small screws out how do you expect to know what the heck you are doing after you open it.
Looks like someone will be asking us in a day or so if there are any good deals for a new PS2 on the internet.

I have a major "Blue Disk" problem. But Im a little hesitant to open my PS2. I just dont want to be Playstationless :(
I\'m pretty friggin poor, so I wont have enough to get a new one for awhile if I \'F\' something up. (I said Blue disk, not blue balls) ;)

A DVD lens cleaning disk may help you with your blue bal.. erm I mean blue disk problem.;)
-
I contacted sony, and they told me that it is a BAD idea to use those cleaners. They say it can actually do more damage than help the situation.
-
Did they say what kind of damage occurs? I was thinking of useing a lens cleaner also.
-
They just said not to use any lens cleaners whatsoever. They gave me a case number abd told me that I can send it in and they would fix it or replace it for free, but it would take 15 to 20 days before they would re-send it out After however long it takes to fix the damn thing. i dont think that I could go without for that long. i use my PS2 at least 5-10 hours a week.
Juslight has been dying for me to open it up and try to fix the problem myself... I might do that this weekend. So if your reading this J, We can open it up on Friday or Sunday.

I opened and messed with it, and it still doesnt read blue CDS, just DVD games, so dont bother. A lens cleaner doesnt work either. I was only able to get my DVD games working again, thats fine with me. All the good games are DVD anyway
