Title: Gamecube freezing up
Post by: soundifound on March 13, 2003, 09:08:53 PM
Twice in Metroid Prime(30% into it) the game has freezed right when i go into morph ball mode and the disc drive makes a slight buzzing noise.  Should I exchange it for a new one(GC)? And is there any way I can tell if one is the newest model?

It\'s probably the game and not the system. Metroid Prime is known for lockups, albeit I only experienced 2 in 28 hours of play-time my first time through.. and my brother played 20~ hours and experienced nothing.. so..

Save whenever you\'re given the opportunity to be safe, I guess.

yeah i read up on it and metroid prime has a bug that it locks it up occasionally.  Great game, played for 4 hours tonight, but it seemed like it flew by.:bounce:

Maybe defrosting it in the microwave would help. LOL.

:D I you still have the receit, then why not try to get it exchanged for a (new) another copy of teh game ? Nothing to lose. My first copy of the Getaway tended to freeze during some cutscenes. I went back to the store and they gave me a new copy, no problem.
