So many things wrong with this list, it\'s indescribable. The Tournament Selection committee again gets their SEC Penis Envy going on, putting Auburn and Alabama in this tournament over Boston College and Texas Tech. Further proof that the Selection committee ignores Conference Tournaments as much as humanly possible.

At least the committee was smart, and put Creighton as far away from Florida as humanly possible -- Only Central Michigan, Duke, Kansas, and Arizona in the way to the Final Four :(

A 2 seed isn\'t the same as being 8th in the country, unless of course there are 7 1 seeds, and if so, I was unaware.

Why Florida got a 2 seed, I\'ll never know -- they\'d be a 4 seed at BEST in the West :-P

Huh? There are 4-1 seeds and 4-2 seeds.... 4+4 =8. That means the 3rd seed is a team that is comparable to a 9-12.

Saying we are a 4 seed you are saying that Florida is barely a top 20 team and that is just stupid.

I have learned not to associate seedings with rankings, because once the SOS and RPI are taken into account, they mean trash.

Yes, I am fully aware of the seeding arrangements. Them being a 2 seed doesn\'t make them the "8th best team" automatically, it means 5-8, which again, is crap.

I realize the seeding is purely political. They try and get potential match-ups in key regions blah blah blah.

6-11 seeds are really a wash anyway. That\'s usually where the best games come from in the early rounds.

Post by: videoholic on March 19, 2003, 09:14:01 AM: Tourny is moving over to ESPN apparently. Very odd since CBS is viacom and ESPN is Disney. Apparently ESPN has the ability to regionalize their broadcasts and TNN does not. Sucks because the games are suppose to be in HD. Stupid war....
