After reading the panty sniffer thread, I realized that I should post this link.  This story is REAL.

This guy posts on I-Club about how he blew the engine on his WRX with a variety of poorly tuned mods.  (trying to run 18 pounds of boost on stock injectors)  Then he says he returned the car to stock, took it to a dealer, and played dumb.  The dealer promised to cover the damage under warranty.

Another member of I-Club, disgusted with the punk\'s lack or remorse, contacts Subaru dealers in area, and refers them to the thread.  Result:  Warranty coverage denied.  :)  Punk\'s response:

Perhaps people will one day realize that some people out there have morals, and will report any big crimes they see, even ones \'online\' reported in \'informal\' forum type places.

Just like you would report someone scamming door to door (fraud), or the like, you should likewise report fraud that\'s confessed to on the internet.


Please don\'t argue the \'big faceless corporation\' deserves to lose it\'s money thing... sometimes situations seem that way, but screwing the company for something like this that isn\'t their fault drives up the cost of subarus for regular drivers.  (*snicker* that\'s close to the RIAA\'s arguement, lol, and I hate those guys).

He was REAL stupid to post that.  Especially after that sorry ass technician mofo took that lady\'s SVT Cobra for a joyride.  (not that it\'s the same, but still...)  It really is a small world.

Even so...you\'d think club members like that would have a sense of comradery.  They should have left it between the guy and his dealer.

We get ripped off all the time - insurance, gas prices, INCOME-FUKKING-TAXES, dealer markups, getting ANY kind of service performed at a dealership, tuition, I could go on and on.  Every now and then something happens to balance out this injustice.  And hey, karma would have probably taken care of the guy anyway.

I\'d never post that at the Subaru forum. There are dealers that are car enthusiasts that post there too. He should have known. =8^)
